Victory Outreach Birmingham objects are: To advance the Christian faith in Birmingham and the Black Country by providing a place of worship and holding religious services, ceremonies, public celebration of religious festivals, raising awareness of religious beliefs and practices, and religious education. expression of faith; To advance the education of the public in life skills, personal development skills and employability support.
We promote religion for the benefit of the public by holding services, prayer meetings and discipleship courses about the Christian faith. We encourage and facilitate the practice of the religion by existing followers by providing Sunday services open to the public and conducting religious ceremonies.
We advance education for public benefit by giving information in a way that increases the knowledge and abilities of those being educated; increasing public learning and knowledge about Christianity but also about life skills, personal development and helping support with getting Summary of the main activities undertaken for the back to work. | Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year |
This year the charities performance and achievements were afected by the Covid pandemic and the lockdowns as we were unable to gather for our Sunday services and usual meetings. We did, however, continue to provide our weekly services online as people wanted to connect at a time |

| We continued to build community by providing weekly times to meet and | ||||
| relevant training courses and bible studies online via Zoom. We wanted | ||||
| to bring hope and some clarity through our teachings. We provided | ||||
| discipleship training for our congregation and training for our trustees. | ||||
| We also felt it was a time to enlighten others about the Christian faith | ||||
| when many were searching for answers. We shared the gospel on the | ||||
| streets each week adhering to the lockdown rules and even had church | ||||
| on the streets with another local ministry in the city centre. Many were | ||||
| happy to join us as their churches had been closed and they had limited | ||||
| interaction. | ||||
| We provided pastoral care by helping those in fnancial need and those | ||||
| unable to go out due to the pandemic. We were able to provide food | ||||
| hampers, help with energy costs and help with doing shopping for those | ||||
| who were housebound due to illness. | ||||
| As the lockdown eased, we sensed that people were struggling with | ||||
| isolation from the pandemic causing mental health issues. People, | ||||
| particularly the students, needed face-to-face contact and connection so | ||||
| we resumed our in-person service in September 2021. This helped to | ||||
| bring cohesion between our congregation, many that had only met online! | ||||
| We also continue to celebrate Christian religious festivals, with many | ||||
| enjoying our services and meals in the run up to Christmas 2021 after | ||||
| being isolated the previous year. | ||||

The principal source of the charities funding is from the donations from our congregation and any fundraising activities that we may undertake. However, we were unable to do any activities due to the pandemic. |

Our expenditure this year was to enable us to continue to provide services, training and pastoral care during the challenges of the pandemic. We had to invest in equipment in order to stream our services online and also provided training, not only from in-house, but specialist trainers.
