In respect of the manufacture and installation
of wildlife habitats. 108 habitat boxes were
built. Towards the 8nd of the year there was
big push on swift box production.
throughout the remainder ofthe year there
was steady work on building small8r bird
boxes. bat boxes. and hedgehog houses.
2 sandmartin colonies were built and
installed in partnership with Canal & Rivers
Trust and local RSPB branch.

In respect of Waww, succéssfully launched
the project to Ihe public, with over a hundred
people attending the launch event.Since
then we have delivered several guided
walksleducation sessions aimed al children
and families, to improve their connection with
nature, understanding of their local
environment and their wellbeing. Feedback
from residents and visitors about the Waww
has been very positive and it has helped
people lo discover new green spaces in the
city.
In respect of volunteering sessions
organised by our Biodiversity Volunteer
Coordinator, we delivered 33 sessions, with
a total of 780 biodiversity volunteer work
hours throughoui 2023. Some of the most

was: caring for a 400m hedgerow and other
young trees around the city. developing
wildflower meadows, coppicing lo encourage
a rare butterfiy species, creating hibemacula
