Apart from the frst charity trustees, every trustee
must be appointed (for a term of three years) by a
resoluton passed as a properly convened meetng
of the charity trustees.
In selectng individuals for appointment as charity
trustees, the charity trustees must have regard to
the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the
efectve administraton of the CIO.
Every charity trustee must be a natural person. No
individual can be under the age of 16 or is he she
would automatcally cease to hold ofce if they are
disqualifed as actng a charity trustee.
New trustees cannot become trustees untl the
current charity trustees have accepted them and
made this acceptance available to them.
At least one of the trustees must be 18 years of age
