Yusra Trust holds weekly meetings to discuss projects and running of the charity. Decisions are made with all Trustees being present. Recruiting of Trusteeship is done by looking for individuals with the correct skillset that can aid the aims and objectives of Yusra Trust. Potential Trustees would be checked to see they are not disqualified under the charities act.
## **Objectives & Activities**
Yusra Trust has been collecting donations for food packs for children, widows and needy people. Working closely with an authorized and well established charity, Verenel Dernegi.

## **Achievements and performance, including reporting on its public benefit**
## **Syrian refugees**
The first project at Yusra Trust was to distribute Suhoor and Iftar packs, to the Syrian refugees in Turkish refugee camps within Syria. Our aim being to provide the much needed essentials before the commencement of Ramadhan.
Working closely with an authorized and well established charity Verenel Dernegi. Yusra Trust along with NGO’s managed to negotiate with wholesalers in Turkey the best price for the food packs. £50 would be able to supply a family with the following:
6L oil, 3kg lentils, 1.5kg tea, 6kg flour, 3kg chickpeas, 15 packs pasta, 2.4kg tomato paste, 3kg bulgur, 3 jam jars, 6kg sugar, 3 packs salt, 1 pack dates, 6kg rice, 1.5kg olives.
To further our aid, towards the end of Ramadhan we appealed to all to contribute towards Eid food packs for the Syrian families. Eid packs were calculated at £25 per pack. £25 would supply a family with the following: 2L oil, 1kg lentils, 500g tea, 2kg flour, 1kg chickpeas, 5 packs pasta,800g tomato paste, 1kg bulgur, 1 jam jar, 2kg sugar, 1 packs salt, 2kg rice, 500g olives.
Alhamdulillah Yusra Trust was also able to secure and provide Eid gifts for boys and girls and some basic home décor.
Through the grace of Allah the Almighty. Yusra Trust with the kind contributions from our amazing donors, managed to send out three truckloads of food packs Alhamdulillah.
This project was carried out with the aid of Verenel Dernegi, a Turkish Charity. Verenel distributed the packs on our behalf in the month of ramadaan. Funds for the food packs were sent at a later date to Verenel over a few transfers from March to July 2021 totalling to £57,700.

## **Kayseri**
The next project over the remaining parts of the year in 2021 involved supporting Syrian, Uzbek and Uyghur refugees residing in the Kayseri region of Turkey. A minimum of 25 families, orphans, widows and needy were provided with support on a monthly basis. Some recipients are in an educational background, either teaching or studying. A total of £19,300 was used to aid recipients in 2021. This project has been aided by another Turkish charity, Ilyilik Koprusu Yardimlasma ve Dayanisma Dernegi.
This project also included the Qurbani project.
## **Qurbain (sacrifcial animals)**
Qurbani was collected from donors in July 2021. A total of 9 animals was paid for totalling £1,530. The meat was used to feed the poor and needy in Kayseri.
Yusra Trust started the year with the aim of aiding the poor and needy. Yusra Trust was very happy to achieve this via the three projects mentioned above and to also achieved more than what had originally been planned.

(1) To relieve financial hardship among poor people, widows, orphans and other people in need by means of, but not exclusively, making grants or loans for providing or paying for items, equipment, services and facilities, including the provision of food, water and clothing, and livelihood programmes for the benefit of the said persons;
(2) To advance education for the benefit of the general public by means of, but not exclusively, the provision or the assistance in the provision of educational activities and facilities, such as schools and training centres for the benefit of said persons;
(3) To relieve sickness and to preserve good health among persons in need, by means of, but not exclusively, the provision or assistance in the provision of medical equipment or facilities such as testing and treatment centres and clinics for the benefit of the said persons;
(4) To advance the religion of Islam, by means of, but not exclusively, promoting the teachings and tenets of islam via the assistance in the provision of Islamic education and facilities for worship in accordance with the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah of the prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) as interpreted by the Ahle Sunnah Wal Jamaah school of thought.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **31/12/2021** .
## **Responsibilities and basis of report**
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
**Independent** I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material **examiner's** matters have come to my attention in connection with the **statement** examination (other than that disclosed below *) which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
