## Trustee’s Report 2024-2025

Events over the previous year:
Transition to Play Sport as hiring intermediary for the track. Clarity for the school who has responsibility for maintaining the track, and all associated facilities and equipment ensuring compliance for League -level meets.
Coaching and event specific qualifications have been addressed to comply with EA guidance, health and safety and insurance. The club have supported members to become coaching officials enabling more diversity with training groups.
Club membership has been streamlined using Coacha, which has enabled efficiency of auditing of membership and subscriptions. There are now clearer communication pathways for members to join and subscribe.
A change of banking provider was essential to enable the club to be better administrated, and guidance around finances was professionally sought to produce a set of accounts for the year to present to members at the last AGM.
The amazing efforts of the officers and coaches have ensured that HAC remains compliant with E.A rules and regulations, and the membership and success of the athletes has created a positive and viable club.
Management of the club remains dependent on volunteers, however over this past year a broader management committee has helped to create a more transparent organisational body and spread the stress and workload to more of the membership.
HAC remains focussed on providing a safe and enjoyable place for athletes to train, compete and flourish within the local community.

The purpose of the club is the promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benedit of the inhabitants of Hastings and St Leonards and the surrounding area by the provsion of dacitiies for athletics and athletic related activities.
