Summary of the purposes of Para 1.17 The objects of the CIO are to establish and

achievements of the charity,

established, and until its first objective is
fulfilled (i.e. building of village hall) is clearly
limited in terms of the benefits it can provide
to the local community or society as a whole.
The main achievements of the charity over
the first reporting period are:
1. Establishment of the CIO itself
2. Discussing with interested parties
including Scole Parish Council and the local
community the proposed format and function
of the building, and obtaining planning
permission from South Norfolk District
Council.
3. Obtaining initial estimates for building
costs estimates
4. Agreeing terms with Scole Parish Council
for a long term lease with pepper-corn rent
for the land on which the village hall will be
built (and which is legally designated for this
purpose). Final approval of lease once legal
advice obtained.
5. Initial discussions with local and national
funding agencies, though formal applications
cannot be made until lease of the land is
signed off.|

required for initiating the bank account
(£500).
