1. Through granl-making principles whith ensure that, even where there is a donor or ftjnding partner
involvemont, decisions are ultimately made by GoFundMe.org.tJk's tnjstees. These principles Clarify that funds
given are GoFundMe.org.uk's asseis and Ihat, where Ihey are involved, donors are recommending granis for
certain charitable causes, nol awarding them or direcling vthich specific charities will receive the granis.
2. Through grant-making criteria, sel out the requiremerts the trustees must be satisfied of before deciding lo
award a grant.
3. Through grant-making processes. which set out how deusions are reached for awarding grants.

. Going concem
After making appropriate enquiries. the Trustees have a reasonable expectation that the Charity has adequate
resources to conts'nue in operational exislence for Ihe foreseeable future. For this reason, they continue to adopt
the going concem basis in preparing the financial statements. Further details regarding the adoption of the 90in9
con¢&m basis can bè found in the a¢counb"ng poliues.
b. Re8epi•s polScy
The Charity has been operatlng for only ts¥o years and has been tr￿ng to build free reserves as It grows. As the
Charity moves forward, suffi¢iènl incom9 shall be generated lo enable the Charity to begin to build up IhglgV91 of
general unrestricted reserves it holds in order to help the Charity oparate effectively and carry the operation cost
on its own.
Currently, under the ￿sourceS sharing agreement. Charity has full SU￿)rt from the Us-based branch, that
covers all necessary overhead costs lo operale.
At the Balance sheet date, the Charily has funds iotalling to £26,915, wilh £14.535 held in restricted funds. whilst
general unrestricted funds stand al £12.380. The Trustees cOns￿er this to be sufficient.

Grant approval throshold
a. For any grant Iwhelher one or mulliple combined) over £50,000, unanimous approval of the Board of Trustees

Trustees must approve.
c. The Board may, unanimously. grant approval authority lo a Delegated Committee, in relation to a particular
Gampaign fund. provided that appropriate contro15 are in place lo ensure the Trustees can monitor and control
the 8Ctivilies and decisions of the Delegate¢J Committee.
This policy will be revised as needed by the staff and approved by Ihe Trustees.
e. Related party rel¥tionship$
Related parties can offer grant suggestions arKI recommendations for organisations to receive a grant. If
GoFundMe.org.uk agrees that the organisalions's Work aligns wth the grant purpose and a vel is cleared, a
grant can be appropri81ely approve(l.
f. Financial risk management
The Trustees have assessed the major risks to which the Charity is exposed, in particular those ￿lated to the
operalions and finances of the Charity, and are satisfied Ihat systems and procedures are in place to mitigate
exposure lo the major risks.

Plans for future periods
In 2025 we plan to increase activity now that we have a stronger operational base. We plan to worf( closely with
individuals with large netwo￿S lo help them raise funds for the causes they believe in. We wll work closely with
the community engagernent manager of gofundme.com and the UK corporate affairs director of GoFundMe.com
lo further build out relationships lo this el￿.
We hope to genèratè donations of around £50.000 in 2025 through these partnerships.

1DD. The principal activities of the Charity are to raise funds lo advance such charitable purposes
laccording to the law of England and Wales) as the Trustees see fit from tsme-tO-tim8.
A¢￿￿￿tIng pollcles
2.1 Basls of preparatSon of financial statements
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP IFRS 1021
Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Stslemenl of Recommended Pra¢ti¢& applieable lo charities
preparing their a¢￿￿ntS in acwrdan¢e with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK
and Republic ol I￿land IFRS 1021 leffeclive 1 January 20191, the Finanaal Reporting Stsndard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 and the Charities Act 2011.
The financial 518lemenls have been prepared lo give a 'true and fairf view and have departed from
the Charities (Accounts and Reportsl Regulab"ons 2008 only lo th& exltrnl required lo proviL4e a 'lrue
and fair, view. This departu￿ has involved following the Charities SORP IFRS 1021 published in
October 2019 rather than the Accounting and Reporting by Charits'es.. Statement of Recommended
Practice effective from 1 April 2005 which has since been withdrawn.
GoFundMe.org.uk meets the definib'on of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. Assets and liabilities
are initially recognised al historical cost or transaction value unless olheNrfise stsled in the relevant
8ccounling policy.
The financial statements are presented in UK sterling, vthich is ihe Charitys functional currency and
rounded to the nearest pound.
2.2 Going ¢on¢•rn
The Tru$tQg$ assess whether the use of going concem is appropriate i.e. whether thero any
material uncertainties related to events or cOnd￿￿￿S that may cast significant doubt on the ability of
the Charily to continue as a going concem. The Trustees rnake this assessment in respect of a
period of al least one year Irom the dale of aulh0ri5alion for issue of the financial statements and
have conduded th81 Ihe Charty has adequate resources lo continue in operational exi51enc8 for the
foreseeable ftjlure and the￿ are no material uncertainb'es about the Charitys ability lo conlinug as a
going concern, thus they continue to adopt the going concem basis of accounting in preparing the
financial slatemenis.
2.3 Income
AJI income is rg¢ognised once th$ Charity has gntiuemgnt to the in¢ome, it is probable that the
income will be received and the amount of income receivable can be measured reliably.
Income tax recoverable in relation to donabons received under Grft Aid or deeds of covenant is
recognised al the time of the donation.
Income tax recoverable in relation to investrnent income is rewgnised at the time the investment
income is receivable.

2.4 Expgndlture
Expenditure is recognised once there is a legal OT constructwe obligation to transfer economic benefit
lo a third party, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement and
the amount of the obligatson can be Measu￿ reliably.
Expenditure on tharitable activilies is incurred on directly undertaking the activities which further the
Charitys objectives. as well as any associated support costs.
Grants payable are charged in the year when the offer is made except in those cases where the offer
is conditional, such grants being ￿cOgnised as expenditure when the conditions attsching are
fulfilled. Grants offered subj9¢1 lo Conditions which have not been mel al the year end are noted as a
commitmenl. but nol accrued as expendilure.
All expendrture is indusive of irrecoverable VAT.
2.5 Interest r•celvable
Intèrest on funds held on dgrK)sit is induded when receivable and the amount Can be measured
reliably by the Charity,. this is normalty upon nolificatiorb of the interest paid or payable by the
inslilulion with whom the lunds are deposited.
2.6 Glft
In the casg of a Gift Aid payinent made within the Group, income is accrued when thg payment is
payable to Ihe Parent Charity under a legal obligabon. Measuremenl is at ihe fair value receivable,
which will normally be the transaction value.
Where the right lo ￿Ceive Gift Aid has been established, the amount receivable is recognised 88
investment income in the Stslement of financial activtties.
2.7 Taxatlon
The Charity is considered lo pass the tests Sel out in Paragraph 1 Schedule 6 of the Finance Act
2010 and the￿f0￿ it meeis the definitK)n of a charitable company for UK corporation lax purposes.
Acwrdingly, the Charity is potenlially exempt from taxation in resp&¢l of income or ¢apit81 gains
received within categories covered by Chapter 3 Part 11 of the CorrK)ration Tax Act 2010 or Section
256 of the Taxation ol Chargeable Gains Act 1992. to the extent (hat such income or gains are
applied exdusively to charilable purposes.
2.8 Debtors
Trade and other debtors are recognised at the settlement amount. Prepayments are valued at the
amount prepaid.
2.9 Cash at bank and in hand
Cash at bank and in hand indudès Cash and short-tèm highly liquid invèstrnènts with 3 short maturity
of three nM)nlhs or less from the dale of acquisitk)n or opening of the deposil or similar account.

Liabilities are recognised when there is an obligation at ihe Balance sheet date as a result of a past
event, il is probable that a transfer of economic benefit will be required in setuement, and the amount
