Message from the Trustees

Pressures have been felt diagonally by many large and small Charities during 2021, Rise And Shine Foundation was not an exception as a new charity in an uncertain political and economic environment. The movement and consequences of Covid 19 affected our charity like all other charities, with the ongoing squeeze on public expenditure there was increasing influence on prospective donors. However, during 2021, we continued to focus on donating to food banks withing the community to help the families struggling with basic needs. Funds and non-perishable items and material were all managed and donated successful by volunteers. Through all our effort, making sure our message is heard and is vital for organizational development, we are looking forward to working with new organisations and individuals as we seek to distribute evenly all that we receive from donors within the United Kingdom.

To Our Stakeholders

OJECTIVES, ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE

Helping those who cannot afford enough for their families in the United Kingdom is our key area of support within our community, although provision is both insufficient and patchy. The initiative which is supported by several charitable activities both in the UK will help reach and try and cover all aspects of families young and old living in poverty and not able to afford basic stuff on their own and encourage them to volunteer where possible to help the community educate the community on poverty awareness helping them to feel part of our project whilst earning leadership qualities needed in their communities.

The project is focused on empowering all to eradicate poverty and not waste food or clothing that can benefit others and share with those who cannot afford where possible hence benefiting the well-being of others. The project provides them with tinned food stuffs clothing, gas and electricity top up for the bereaving. We also look after those with temporary power cuts, this includes homes with elderly and single parents with young ones. These are very often small electric, or gas top up to cover a few days while they sort out alternative help, yes this is not always enough considering the limited funding we have experienced. This has been made possible through collaboration with several charities and volunteers that continue to work very hard to see this project a success. This has turned out to be a key mechanism for organizational learning, building relationships with other charitable organisations, and gaining greater understanding of their work and challenges that they face daily during Covid 19 years.

Rise And Shine Foundation’s aims were carried out for the public benefit. This was achieved through donating to food banks and small electric or gas top up support to the less privileged ones within our community facing struggles to find proper support from the local government, charities, or businesses. The Charity will continue to demonstrate its commitment on helping the less privileged ones when our resources improve further, especially with the recession looming in the United Kingdoms. Rise And Shine Foundation will continue to strive in seeking more material and financial support from other charities in the UK for this unpopular cause to be a success in furtherance of helping support the less privileged.

Notes to Financial Statements

INCOME AND DEBT

Rise And Shine Foundation is reliant on income from the trustees and other contributions, and this amounted to £1 200.00. This was not enough for our activities, but our spending was limited to what we had at the time without incurring any debts. Funding has been challenging to obtain with more organisations trying their best to manage and work with only what they have, we were not different from them too.

Investments Powers and Policy

The Charity funds were all spent and there were no reserves to consider any investment opportunities in the current markets.

ACCOUNTS

Trustees must follow the Law applicable to charities in England and Wales that requires accounts for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the Charity’s financial activities during the year and of its financial position at the end of the year. In preparing those accounts, the trustees are required to:

• Select and use suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently.

• Methods and principles of the Charities SORP must be observed.

• Accounts to be prepared on the going concern basis.

GOING CONCERN

There are no material uncertainties relating to events or conditions that cast significant doubt on the charity’s ability to

continue as a going concern. Given the difficult economic environment conditions in recent years we as trustees had to be more robust and proactive in our considerations. Currently, the expenses have largely been limited to storage, shipping and

tournament costs and this has helped in keeping them at lower levels compared to other organisations.

Trustees’ Report

The Trustees are responsible for the safe keeping of the accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy the financial position of the Charity and enable them to ensure that the accounts comply with the Charities Act 2011. Also, they are responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Charity and hence take reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities. They are also responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the Charity information that is included on the Charity’s website.

TAKEAWAYS

Our organization receives few material donations ranging from families to large charities in the United Kingdom. Every effort these have made, has moved our organization to another level. However, only a few have managed to support us with small amounts of one-off cash aid. We are still applying for more funding be it material, monetary or in kind to help reach out the needy communities.

Notes To The Accounts 31 December 2021

1. Accounting Policies

a. Basis of preparation of accounts

The Accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention with items recognized at cost or transaction value unless otherwise stated in the relevant notes to the accounts. The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practice: Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) issued on 16 July 2014 and the Charities Act 2011. The Trustees have chosen to early adopt the Update Bulletin 1 issued by the Charities Commission on 2[nd] February 2016 which exempts the charity from the need to prepare a Statement of Cash Flows.

The Trustees consider that there are no material uncertainties about the charity’s ability to continue as a going concern.

b. Income Recognition

All income is recognized once the Charity has entitlement to the income, it is probable that the income will be received, and the amount of income receivable can be measured reliably.

Donations are recognized once received. If a donation is subject to conditions that require a level of performance before the Charity is entitled to the funds, the income is deferred and not recognized until either those conditions are fully met, or the fulfilment of those conditions is wholly within the control of the Charity and it is probable that those conditions will be fulfilled in the reporting period.

c. Expenditure Recognition

Liabilities are recognized as expenditure as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation committing the Charity to that expenditure, it is probable that settlement will be required, and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably.
