## **Trustee report July 2021** 

December 2020, we had 27 children on our role when we finished in July we had 30 children on register. 

We had a total of 10 permanent members of staff, after appointing Alan Jones in May, we had 2 cover staff and 1 volunteer. 

At preschool we have celebrated lots of festivals and events during the year, including Easter doing our Easter bonnet parade and Easter egg hunt. We celebrated St Georges day, the euros and a traditional teddy bears picnic to incorporate our British values. We also celebrated Eid and Diwali to incorporate our beliefs and cultures. 

Outside of Preschool hours, we organised a breakfast with Santa event for all local children to attend, which was very popular with the community. We also held our annual Christmas sing-a-long where parents joined to celebrate the event. 

Preschool had 5 poems published in the young writers poem book. 

Unfortunately we had to close preschool briefly due to covid and reopened for keyworkers and vulnerable children only, all other children were set home learning activities to encourage their education at home. Our intergenerational visits to a local elderly home also had to stop due to covid.
