## Section D Achievements and performance
**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**
During its first year of operation, Friends of Beaumont Trustees have met roughly every two months for an on-line meeting. An account with Triodos Bank was opened and, together with other funds held at the college, provided Friends of Beaumont with initial cash funds of just over £10,000
During the first few months of operation a student representative was appointed as a Trustee. In the autumn they left the college and he continued to be a Trustee as an Alumni representative. The Board then appointed another Trustee from the Students’ Union to give us six Trustees in total.
The charity has developed a working relationship with the Students’ Union of Beaumont College and has received a number of grant requests to fund items of equipment both for the main college and also the satellite sites.
A Facebook page for Friends of Beaumont has been established and is being well-liked by the students with information about fundraising and other events being posted.
Three major fundraising events were planned during the year. However, due to the Covid pandemic the Christmas Fair 2020 and the Summer Fair 2021 had to be cancelled. The Christmas Fair 2021 took place at the College and the raffle at that event raised £2,235 for Friends of Beaumont.
