Church Trustee Report 2022

2022 was a year when the Church committed to "Love Gunthorpe inside/out" with the three aims of building the Church, investing in the community and making disciples.

A programme of community events was established where the church aimed to 'open its doors' - cake/coffee events, special occasions and an outdoor carol service. We regularly leafleted the areas around the Open Door Centre and prayed each week for the streets closest to our meeting places.

We met through the year at Paston & Gunthorpe Community Centre and are thankful to God that we can consider this our new Sunday home. As an organisation that uses the centre regularly one of our Church partners sits on their committee and we have supported various community events during the year.

Midweek groups continue to meet to support our commitment to provide fellowship and support for partners, and the church has re-established regular patterns/events for prayer. Several members of the fellowship went to be with their Lord in 2022 but the committed core has remained at around 30 people during 2022.

The leadership team reluctantly accepted the resignation of its salaried pastor at the end of 2022 and thanked him for his committed, selfsacrificing service through the previous 17 years as a paid member of staff.
