Aims and Purpose
The N Wales and NW England Rotary Passport Trust has the responsibility for the oversight
and management of the charitable activities of the N Wales and NW England Rotary
Passport Club.
Objectlves and Actlvities
To apply the funds of the Trust in aecordance with the charitsble purposes and objertives of
the charity as detailed in the Deed of Trust. Priorlty areas for support are aligned with the
areas of focus of Rotary International, namely..
Peaeebuilding and Conflict Resolution
Disease prevention and treatment
Water, sanitation, and hygiene
Maternal and Child health
Basic education and literacy
Community economic development
Protecting the environment
Achlevements and Perfomiance
Despite the continuing restrictions of the COVID pandemic the Trust has been highly
successful during its first year of operations. TV￿ substantial grants were received from
outside bodies for specific activities to be undertaken within Wales. Additionally, fijrther
smaller grants were also recelved from a variety of commercial and charitsble organlsations
to SUPF)Ort community activitles.
A variety of supplementary fund raising initiatives weré also undertaken by the Rotary
volunteers whieh generated further funds for the Trust.
The underlying Passport Rotary Club qualified and received the Rotary Citation for the 2020-
21 period. This is largely a reflection of the high level of activity and achievements of the
Trust and its volunteer supporters. It should be noted that only a limited number of such
cltations were awarded by Rotary International within the region.
Flnandal Revlew
Total receipts on unrestricted funds v4ere £1.214. Restricted donations of £32,821 were
received as detailed in the Financial Statement. The bulk of these restricted donations were
in the form of grant5 from Powy5 A550ciation of Voluntary Organisation5, The Rotary
Foundation. several kjcal Rotary Clubs and the National Lottery for Wale5.
£20.884 was spent on a variety of projects supporting vulnerable and needy individua15 and
their support organlsations within N Wales and NW England and also a specific oversea5
project to provide sewlng Machine5, materials and training to young wornen and gir15 in

Uganda. This project provided financial independer)ce to tha recipients and helped
avercome Deriod Dovertv in their communifv.
The net result for the year was an excess of receipts over payments of ££382 on
unrestricted funds and £12.769 on restricted funds.
Structure. Governance and Management
The Charity VRS established by a Deed of Trust on the &h Augug(2020 which is
SUDDlemented bv amendments to the Governinq Document which were aDproved at a
Trustees meeting on the ￿ August 2020. Both documents are based upon standard Rotary
Great Britain and Ireland documents which have the prior apDroval of the Chari
Commission. A supplemental Grant Making policy was prepared and implemented during
the vear.

Projects and causes are proposed by the general rnembership of the N Wales and NW
EnglarKI Rotary Passport Club at their fortnightly meetings. The trustees agree the
compliance of the project with the governing do¢ument and then oversee the financial
management of the activities reporting back to the general mernbership on a periodic ba51s
Iggnerally monthly).
During the year banklng facilities have been established with Natwest, Sandbach branch.
The trust has also registered with HMRC for Grft Aid although no activities were undertaken
that necessitated gift aid recovery.

The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year lunder section 43
{21 of the charities act 1993 brackets (the act) )and that an independent examination is
needed. It is my responsibility to:
Examine the accounts (undersection 43 of the act),
to follow the procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity
Commission (under section 43 {7llb) of the act) and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of Independent examiners report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the
Charity Commission. Examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the
charity and the comparison of the account5 presented with those records. It also includes
onsideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations
from you as trustees concerning anysuch matters. The procedures undertaken do not
provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit. and consequently no opinion is
given as to whether the accounts presented a true and Fairview and the report is limited to
those matters set out in the statement below.
Independent Examiners Statement
In the course of my examination no matter has come to my attention:
l. Which gives me reasonable caLtse to believe that in, any material respect. the requirements-
ne)rt line to keep accounting records in accordance with section 41 of the act,. and to prepare
accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting
requirements of the 1993 act,. have not been met- or
2. to which in my opinion, attention should be drawn to enable a proper understanding of the
accoLsnts to be reached
