Chairman's Report for the year ended 31 December 2022
As we have come to the end of the year 2022 what a great year it has been. We have grown from strength to strength and this is due to the fact that we have an amazing team of Volunteers and Trustees, along with our admin assistant Jenny who is one of our greatest assets.
Our treasurer (Jamie Hutchison) does an amazing job along with being our project manager and is always looking for sources of funding to increase our accounts. Also we have an events volunteer (Chris Belcher-Banes) who over the last year has organised, with support, many evening events and craft fayres which has provided us with a brilliant amount of income which gives us the ability to then organise free events for children and elderly members.
Our membership has grown during this time and we have a great variety of members which includes children of all ages and adults including the elderly.
As our members know we are always busy with a continuing programme of growth and we will continue in 2023 to support our community groups with free access to the library and hub. The essence of our hub is that, wherever possible, we try to include any groups who enquire about using our hub. Most groups we require payment from but we provide free sessions for Mental Health and Domestic Abuse meetings.
Without all our volunteers, who most have been with us since opening the hub, we would not have achieved the level we have reached so far and long may it continue. It is a thriving and well used part of our local community and we have received many compliments since opening.
We all look forward to continuing with our success in the year to come.
