New Trustees receive briefing5 on their legal obligations under the Chariti¢s Act. the Trust Deed, committee and decision-makin8 process¢s, Ihe business plan, and the Charity's Tecent financial perfomiance. The Trustees are responsible
for managing the risks faced by the Charity. All significant activitie5 undertaken are subject to risk review as part of the initial project wment and implementstion. The Trustees regularly r¢vi¢w the Major risks that the Charity faces. and controls are established accordingly. The TnleeS are aware of the primary risks to which the Charity IS pOSed. particularly thosc related to its projects and finances. 8nd are sat15fied that systems are in place to mitigate exposure to these Major ri5k5. Achlevements Ind Performanee Fln&n¢l¥l Support for Health and Well-BelDg of ¢IEe Poor Tithe has assisted impoverished individuals, especially those without a financial income, in mttting their hospital charges and day-t041ay exp¢nses. We provide support to pwple in K¢rala based on the applications rcCelv We have supported over 80 individuals with their medical needs and more than 12 individuals with wedding-related expenses. Flnan¢lAI Support for Educatlon Tithe has contributed to the educational expenses of undetprivil¢8ed children in Tan7Ania and Ghana, from primary school to degree level. Tithe aims to help young people learn Vational skills to ¢scape the cycle of poverty by nStructing new schools and educational institytions in Tanzania, Ghaw and Orissa. Hots$lnE Projects Tithe has assisted 34 10 38 families in securing their own homes. Wc focus on families from the most vulnerable groups in the community. This achievement has been made possible through communtry networks and supwrt from other resourccs. The hous¢ constrnction project positively impa¢ts the ¢hildrco in hom boosting their self-1¢¢M signifiranily.
Orphgn2ge Homel The Tithe Charitable TTUSI is committed to supporting 25 orphaned boys and girls for a period of ycars in the Indian city of Orissa. The boys are aged betw¢¢n 6 and 15 years. To fulfill this comtnitmen¢ we have paTthered with a ¢haTity in Orissa that runs an orphanage for children of single parcnts, among others. The boys tEceive accommodation, food, cloihing. and education. During this peri1. we have supported the Sym-malabar Catholic Eparchy of Adilabad. Mary Queen of Angels missio Ghan4 Assisi Fie. Franciscan Capuchin friars. and Various orphanages and churches across Indi4 along with other local missions and prayer groups. FlnAn¢lil Revlew The ¢harity's principal funding source is from don•tions and other activities. Reserve pollty It is the policy of the chariry to maintain unrestricted funds at a level that equates to approximately stx months. unrestricted cxpcnditure.
