The trustees present their report and the unaudited financial statements of the charity for the period ended 31 March 2022. 

## **Structure, governance and management** 

## **Governing document** 

The Tithe Charitable Trust is a registered charity, CIO - Foundation, charity number 1192566, and is constituted under a trust deed dated 26 November 2020. 

New Trustees are appointed by the members. The Trustees may appoint a person who is willing to act to be a Trustee, either to fill a vacancy or as an additional Trustee. New Trustees are briefed on their legal obligation under Charities Act and the content of the Trust Deed, the committee and decision making processes, the business plan and recent financial performance of the Charity. 

The Trustees are responsible for the management of the risks faced by the Charity. All significant activities undertaken are subject to risk review as part of the initial project assessment and implementation. The Trustees review the major risks that the Charity faces on a regular basis and controls are established accordingly. The Trustees are aware of the major risks to which the Charity is exposed, in particular those related to the projects and finances of the organisation, and are satisfied that systems are in place to mitigate exposure to the major risks. 

## **Objectives and activities** 

The objectives of the Charity are: 

- The prevention or relief of poverty or the relief of financial hardship for the Public Benefit according to the Law of England and Wales. 

- The advancement of education for the Public benefit according to the Law of England and Wales. 

- To uplift the community via helping and supporting to meet the needs of individual family in the community via programs such as providing shelter, sustainable economic resources, health and educational support etc. 

- To support the vulnerable individuals and families to uplift their way of living such as improving their livelihood, health, educational, environmental needs, better accommodation provisions and existence in the system which they are part of. 

## **Activities** 

Rendering financial help and advice providing food, clothing, education, medical assistance, house projects for the homeless people around the world, support to construct school and churches for the peoples in Africa and Ghana and also promoting new technologies in agriculture and animal husbandry to increasing substantial production.

## **Achievements and performance** 

## **Housing projects** 

Tithe has helped 30 to 34 families to have their own house. Tithe has helped families to from the most vulnerable group in the communities to have their own house. Tithe has achieved this through community net work and support from other community resources. The house construction project has a direct positive impact on the children in those houses, who feel more self and their self-esteem has significantly increased. 

## **Financial support for education** 

Tithe has helped to meet the educational expenses of poor children in Ghana from primary school level to Degree level. Tithe is aiming young people to learn vocational courses to come out of the vicious circle of poverty by constructing new school and educational institutions in Ghana and Orissa . 

## **Financial support for health and wellbeing of poor** 

Tithe has helped poor people those who have no financial income to meet their hospital expense and day to lives . We are supporting the people in Kerala based on the applications, we have received. We have supported more than 50 people for their medical needs. We have supported more than 10 people for wedding related expenses. 

## **Orphanage homes** 

Tithe charitable trust has taken a commitment to support 22 orphan boys and girls for a period of 2 years in the Indian city in Orissa. The boys are aged between 6 and 15 years. In doing so, we have partnered with a charity in Orissa children's orphanage with orphans and children of single parents amongst other things. The boys are provided with accommodation, food, clothing and an education. 

During the period we have extended support to Syro-Malabar Catholic Eparchy of Adilabad, Mary Queen of Angels Mission Ghana, Assisi fie, Franciscan capuchin friars and West Africa and Orissa Child orphanage and various houses of prayer and churches across the India, prayer missionaries, and various local missions. 

## **Financial Review** 

The charity's principal funding source is from donations and from other activities. 

## **Reserve policy** 

It is policy of the charity to maintain unrestricted funds at a level which equates to approximately six months unrestricted expenditure. This provides sufficient funds to cover management and administration and support costs.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Tithe Charitable Trust ('the charity') for the period ended 31 March 2022. 

## **Responsibilities and basis of report** 

As the trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’). 

I report in respect of my examination of the charity's financial statements carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

## **Independent examiner's statement** 

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 

1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the Act; or 

2. the financial statements do not accord with those records; or 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
