**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO PROMOTE THE PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE AND APPRECIATION OF THE WORKS OF CHARLES MINGUS AND THE GENRE OF JAZZ MORE WIDELY IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY PUBLIC PERFORMANCES AND EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS.

**Activities:** The objects of the CIO are to advance the art of music for the public benefit, and to promote, sustain and increase individual and collective knowledge of music (in particular through jazz and improvisation) - including but not limited to the music of Charles Mingus - by providing public performances, educational workshops and other such means as the organisation, through its board of trustees.
