trustees
present
their
report
and
the
financial
statements
for
the
year
ended
31
May
2025. ## **Objectives
and
Activities** ## **Aims
and
Objectives** The
charity's
mission
is
to
provide
sensitive
care
for
the
unowned
cats
of
the
locality
–
abandoned,

lost
and
street
cats. The
charity
covers
a
30
mile
radius
from
Amesbury
in
Wiltshire
and
south
Hampshire. ## **Public
Benefit** The
charity's
objectives
are
for
the
benefit
of
the
public
to
relieve
the
suffering
of
cats
and
kittens
in
need
of
care
and attention
and,
in
particular,
to
provide
rescue
and
rehoming
for
the
reception,
care
and
treatment
of
such
cats
and
kittens. The
trustees
confirm
that
they
have
complied
with
the
requirements
of
Section
17
of
the
Charities
Act
2011
to
have
due regard
to
the
Charity
Commission’s
guidance
on
public
benefit. ## **Additional
Note** Over
the
past
year,

our
team
has
rescued
and
rehomed
445
cats
from
a
wide
range
of
circumstances
including
surrenders, strays
and
abandoned
animals.

This
milestone
reflects
not
just
our
dedication,

but
the
growing
need
for
intervention
as the
cost‑of‑living
crisis
continues
to
affect
pet
owners.

We’ve
seen
a
marked
increase
in
surrenders,

particularly
where families
can
no
longer
afford
veterinary
care.

In
some
heartbreaking
cases,

we’ve
had
to
make
the
difficult
decision
to
put cats
to
sleep;
always
with
compassion
and
dignity. ## **Expanding
Expertise
&
Reputation** Our
reputation
for
pedigree
rescue
has
grown
significantly.

We’ve
been
approached
to
assist
with
Bengal
and
Savannah cats,
thanks
to
our
team’s
deep
understanding
of
their
unique
needs.

We’ve
become
a
trusted
resource
for
breed‑specific rescue,

offering
tailored
care
and
rehoming
strategies. ## **Neonatal
Kitten
Care
&
Media
Recognition** We’ve
seen
a
surge
in
abandoned
kittens,

including
those
just
days
old.

Volunteers
have
hand‑reared
litters
requiring round‑the‑clock
care.

One
case
involved
two
kittens
dumped
in
a
bin
bag
on
the
hottest
day
of
the
year
‑
a
story
that captured
public
attention
and
highlighted
the
urgency
of
our
work. Another
involved
18
kittens;
several
needing
bottle‑feeding;
all
nurtured
by
our
incredible
team. Our
work
has
been
featured
in
local
newspapers,

on
BBC
and
ITV;
raising
awareness
of
both
rescue
and
TNR
(Trap, Neuter,

Return)
efforts. ## **TNR
&
Community
Support** We
completed
34
TNRs,

including
vaccination,

microchipping,

and
ear
tipping. We’ve
loaned
equipment
to
other
charities
and
members
of
the
public,

empowering
more
rescues
and
reunifications. We’ve
reunited
34
cats
with
their
families,

including
one
missing
for
eight
years,

bringing
joy
and
closure
to
many.

We have
also
helped
some
local
pupils
get
their
Duke
of
Edinburgh
Awards. ## **Fundraising
&
Social
Impact** Fundraising
remains
a
challenge,

but
our
volunteers
continue
to
innovate,
crafting
creative
campaigns
and
events. Our
social
media
presence
has
grown,

making
us
a
go‑to
resource
for
cat‑related
behaviour
support,

not
only
for
adopters but
through
our
24/7
helplines
and
rescue
inquiries. Every
post,

every
share,

and
every
mention
helps
amplify
our
mission
and
connect
us
with
those
in
need. We
have
received
three
of
many
grants
that
we
applied
for
from
Petplan
Charitable
Trust,
Jean
Sainsbury
Fund
&
The Belforte
Trust.

These
grants
have
enabled
us
to
continue. ## **Education** All
of
our
volunteers
are
now
completing
the
International
Car
Care
(ICC)
course
for
unowned
cats
and
working
towards
the ICC
Friendly
Rescue
&
Rehoming
Centre.

Marnie

has
completed
the
6
month
course
as
reported
in
