The charity was established on 24th November 2020 and is reglstered with the Charity
Commissioners as number 1192501.

The Word One to One is incorporated as a Charitable Incorporated organ15a￿0n￿ governed by a
constitution and reglstered with the Charty Commission numbw 1192501.
Trustees come from backgrounds in the world of commerce. the charity sector and Chrlstian ministry,
bringing with them complementary and recognised skills. All share a united faith in the Lord Jesus
Christ.
The Trustees have delegated the daily management of acttvities to the Chlef Executyve Officer ICEOI.
The Trustees in consultatton wlth the CEO are responslble for the setting of rernuneratlon for key
staff members.
The Trustees and, where appropriate the CEO, review risks and ensure that no ministry or project
expansion commences until the necessary funding is available and known risks can be managed.
RECRUITMENT AND APPOINTMENT OF TRUSTEES
The overall governance of the charity is the respon5iblllty of the Trustees who a￿ elected for specific
terms.
The Trustees in consultafjon with the CEO are responsible for ￿Cruiting other Trustees.
OBJECTIVES ANO ACTIVITIES
Purposes of the charity afe set out in the constitution a5 follows:

Communlty development
Aiming to resource and support church and community leaders as they equip and support
'Bible sharers, within the local churches and communi
or8anisations they lead.
Activity in this area may include meeting with church leaders one-to-one, networking,
speaking at conferences, training events and other speaklng engagements. It also includes
the use of di8ital media to en¢oura8e and support leaders and Bible sharers, including
regular newsletters, videos and Social media èctivtty.
The team are increasingly invited to advocate on the power and relevance of the Bible in
today's society, as a means of helping church leaders and their congregations recover
confidence that the unchan8ln8 message of Jesus can dramatlcally impact and benefi't the
communities they serve. These activities are also included under"Community development"
for now, but it Ss our intention to introduce a new category titled "Thought leadershlp" from
the next financial year to give this important work intent6onal focus and transparency.
Resourc• development
Athvities Include the development of our disttnctive and easy to use "Blble with notes"
guided read-through experience. Our approach is to make the notes as accessible as
possible, to help those who are new to the Bible en8age with its message in a deep and yet
tomfortable and relaxed way. The Èxperience is available to purchase as printed booklets lat
dlscounted prices from our publisher Ioofthose and via ihem book retallers across the
globe). The notes are al￿ available to download or share on screen as PDFS without charge,
and durln8 this financial year we commenced a project aiming to launch the experience as
free mobile app. Our notes currently guide the readers through all of John's Gospel and Acts.

Also included here 15 the development of printed and digitsl 'mobilising resources,. aimed to
help church leaders envisioni equip and build confidentr in the members of their thurches.
Both the 'Bible sharing, and 'Mobilisin8' resour￿5 are being developed with future
tran51atlng and contextualising in mind. The way the experience is already being use(1 in
English second language classes show that rt could be a helpfijl support in overcomin8
lan8ua8e barriers between people.

Internatlonal partnetship development
A5 the approach has grown in impact across the United Kingdom, awareness and use has
also taken off abroad. Artivities in this area include identifying internotional partners who
can translate and contextualise the resource to see it impact the natr'ons their organisations
serve. The John notes are cur￿ntlY translated into Simplified and Tradrtional Chinese,
Ukrainian, Russian. French and Czech-transja￿onS are prioritlsed as partnerships emerge
and as financial support enables.
Leadershlp. ?dmlnistratlon and operations
These activities underpin and support the above-mentioned areas in order to serve towards
the charitable purposes.
PUBUC BENEFIT
The Trustees are directed by the Charws Commission's guidan￿ on publlc benefit. The purposes
outllned are demonstrably of benefit to the wider public, as people from a wide range of ages and
stages and ba¢k8rounds - in an increasingly isolated and ang5t-ridden society- are invited to consider
the Ilfe and teaching of Jesus Chrlst within the context of a trusted relationshlp. typically supported
by local churches and other community or8an15ations.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
There is a growing body of evidence showing this slmple and deeply relational approach is positively
impacting one life after the next. In an intreasingly fractured and an8St-rldden society, the
combinatton of a friend who cares sharing a me￿ge that shows meaning and offers hope often
proves transformational.
As churches rediscover a fotU5 and a confidence in the beauty and relevance of the lift and teathing
of Jesus, and members of these congregations gain confidence in sharing it with frlends, family
members, neighl)ours and other acquaintances- over time entire communities can be transformed.
With growlng international Inte￿$t Ithe experience is now used In 80 countries around the worldl
the potenttal for 8lobal impart is obvious.
In terms of spec6fic achlevements durin8 this financial year, these Include..
The completion of the nationwide misslon under the banner of A Passion for Life, where The
Word One to One collaborated with a number of like-minded organisats'ons in encouraginB
more than 800 participating churches towards a rnore intentional engagement with thelr

The launch of The Word One to One: Acts in September
To glve some idea of on£oing use of The Word One to One. about 1,3(Ki booklets are sold on
average each month and 8￿ are downloaded for free online.

PLANS FOR FUTURE PERIODS
In order to further enable global reath and resource a youn8er audience to share the experience,
delivery of a mobile app is under way with the alm to launch in March 2023.
We'll be looking to invest more intentionally in our thought leadership work- using conference
opportunities and other broadcasting means to inspire Christians towards a greater outwards focus
and a confidence in the goodness of the message of Jesus.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
The financlal statements for the year ended 31 December 2022 are attached. These statements show
how the funds have been applied durin8 the period with specific reference to expenditure on the
activitres outlined above.
The trustees are encouraged that the supporter base is growin8- With one major return 5UPPOrter
increasing thelr gift from £IO,O(M) to E50.l￿l- and two new financial partners committin8 to multi-
year support of £25,OCN).
The Trustees believe that the Charity is In a satisfartory fi.nancial position at the period end and can
meet all its obllgations. The Trustees confirm that the a55ets of the Charity are held solely for the
charitable objectives set out in this report.
RESERVES POLICY
The Word One to One seeks to hold in reserve, as a minimum. sufficlent funds to pay three months
of staff employment costs.
