West of Engknnd Bandsmen's Festival Report of the Trustees For ¢he Year Ended 31 August 2025 The trustees present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 Augusi 2025. All numbers in this report have been rounded to the nearest £. Review of the Aetivltlej ofthe Charlty On 21. June 2025 the wa of England Bandsmen's Festival held their amiual bm5 band conlest under the leadership of o new group of Trustees and with the support of stalwart volunleers and CoTnmitt¢e Members. As this was the 99th Coniesi a number of n¢w elements and a new layout we iniroduced to give us a dry run for the 100 Contest in 2026. These elements included an incffase in prize money and the iniroduciion of a new Feslival Showcase section. The latlcr encourages UnregiSred, ungraded and s¢rat¢h bands to enjoy tsking part in the Feslival in a more relaxed manner with a programm¢ of their own choice. We also trialled activities for children and more refreshment concessions. One thing we have ffalised as an organisaiion is thai the p10n for the continuation of this unique event is still strong and eighteen bands took part which was very wel¢ome. the consensus on the day was that the new elements were 8ppff¢iat¢d and enjoyable. The day wa5 a great success- helped by fine weath¢r and il was cncourn8ing to se¢ how rnany people came to ¢¢lcbrate and support the festival. To thank Ihe out¥oing trustees and m¢mrS of the Committee pntatIonS were made lo Andrew Teague, lan Powell, Terry Builer and Verlaine Jane.
