**Objects:** (1) THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND DISTRESS OF REFUGEES AND ASYLUM SEEKERS EXPERIENCING MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS CAUSED BY THE EFFECTS OF TRAUMA BY THE PROVISION OF ART THERAPY PROGRAMMES, A RELATED SUPPORT NETWORK, DELIVERING CREATIVE ART-BASED ACTIVITIES/EXPERIENCES AND EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITIES AS A WAY OF RAISING AWARENESS OF THE LIVED EXPERIENCES OF REFUGEES AND ASYLUM SEEKERS

**Activities:** The New Art Studio is a weekly art therapy community for refugees and asylum seekers which takes place in north London.  Experienced, state registered Art Psychotherapists work with members from all over London to make art in a safe and encouraging environment, to alleviate stresses due to traumas.  Occasional exhibitions  connect with the public and give members a sense of achievement.
