We're all human, yet around the world we see minority groups being discriminated, demonised, dehumanised, their rights eroded, paving the way to mass atrocities. This isn't a new story. It's predictable. It's also preventable.At Rights for Peace we use human rights training and advocacy to counter identity-based violence and support transitional justice. We operate in Sudan and South Sudan.

Objects: The Charities Objects (‘objects’) Are Specifically Restricted To The Following:to Promote Human Rights (as Set Out In The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights And Subsequent United Nations Conventions And Declarations) With A View To Preventing Mass Atrocities Throughout The World By All Or Any Of The Following Means:• Monitoring Abuses Of Human Rights And Mass Atrocity Crimes, Including Identity-Based Violence;• Seeking Accountability And Obtaining Redress For The Victims Of Human Rights Abuse And Mass Atrocity Crimes;• Relieving Need Among The Victims Of Human Rights Abuse And Mass Atrocity Crimes;• Research Into Human Rights, Justice And Peace Building Issues;• Providing Technical Advice To Government And Others On Human Rights, Justice And Peace Building Matters;• Contributing To The Sound Administration Of Human Rights, Justice And Peace Building;• Commenting On Existing Or Proposed Human Rights, Justice, Peace Building Or Related Legislation, Policies Or Positions;• Raising Awareness Of Human Rights, Justice And Peace Building Issues, Including Identity-Based Hatred And Violence;• Promoting Public Support For Human Rights, Justice And Mass Atrocity Prevention, Including Combatting Identity-Based Hatred And Violence;• Promoting Respect For Human Rights, Justice And Mass Atrocity Prevention, Including Identity-Based Hatred And Violence;• Domestic Or International Advocacy Of Human Rights, Justice And Mass Atrocity Prevention;• Eliminating Infringements Of Human Rights, Particularly Discrimination And Other Human Rights Related To Identity (e.g. Discrimination Or Incitement To Violence Based On Ethnicity, Religion, Etc.)• Promoting, Supporting And Building Capacities Of Local Actors Through Technical Assistance, Collaboration, Mentoring Or Training.
