The CIO was registered with the Charity Commission on 19 November 2020. **The Governing Document** Constitution of a Charitable Incorporated Organisation dated 17 November 2020 relating to Epsom Christian Fellowship Trust. **Object** The objects of the CIO are: (a) For Evangelism and teaching of Christian doctrine either in Great Britain or elsewhere (b) to assist or provide for Missionaries engaged in the furtherance of the Gospel either in Great Britain or elsewhere (c) for the relief of people in special poverty or need (d) for the help or maintenance of itinerant preachers and other persons who give much time to the study and exposition of the Bible (e) for the printing and distribution of the Bible and Christian literature (f) for or toward any work for the time being carried on for the advancement of the Christian faith (g) for the provision of all necessary equipment transport medical supplies radio apparatus and doing all such other charitable acts and things as may be necessary for the aforesaid purposes. **Trustees** The Charity Trustees who served during the period or who were serving at the date of this report were: Mr G Davies                Chair Mr C Davies Mr A Deaville Mr A Forbes Mr M Houghton Mr J Wright **Bankers** None

## **Notes to the Accounts For the year ended 5 April 2023** 

The Trustees submit their annual report and accounts of Epsom Christian Fellowship Trust (“the CIO”) for the year ended 5 April 2023. The legal and administrative information set out earlier in this document forms part of this report. 

## **1. Structure, Governance & Management** 

The Epsom Christian Fellowship Trust (ECFT) was established by members of the Epsom Christian Fellowship and incorporated under a Constitution of a Charitable Incorporated Organisation in November 2020. It is registered with the Charity Commission (No. 1192426). The CIO maintains at least two Charity Trustees in post at any one time. Charity Trustees have responsibility over all CIO-related matters. 

Church elders hold responsibility for spiritual and pastoral matters. Some Charity Trustees are also church elders. The current church elders are Andrew Deaville, Michael Houghton and Colin Davies. 

## **2. Activities & Public Benefit** 

ECFT CIO (Charity Registration No.1192426) was established to change the status of the Epsom Christian Fellowship unincorporated charity (Charity Registration no. 1001869) but this did not happen during the period under review. ECFT CIO was therefore inactive during the whole of this period. 

## **3. Financial Review** 

## **3.1 Financial Activity and Financial Position** 

The ECFT CIO received no income and incurred no expenditure during the period under review. No accounts have therefore been prepared for this period. 

## **4. Responsibilities of Trustees for the Accounts** 

Charity law requires the Charity Trustees to prepare accounts for each accounting year which record the receipts and payments of the charity for the year. The Charity Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable us to ensure that the financial statements comply with  the Charities Act 2011. The Charity Trustees also have a responsibility to safeguard the assets of the charity and to take reasonable steps to prevent fraud or any other irregularities.
