county ofGloucester without distinction of political or religious or other opinions including use
for nieelings lec(ures and classes and other fornis ot recreation and leisure time oeLupation in the
interesi of so￿la1 welfare with the object of improving ihe conditions of life for Il)e said
inhabitants.
Aetivities
The main activities are raising funds to maintain the hall through a l 00 club and other activities,
arranging various events to fulfil the above aims for public benefit as above while encouraging
use by other local groups. The trustees have regard for the Charity Commission's guidance on
public benefit.
Aetivities during the reporting period.
Once again Mike Manning and Wendy Fabian have shared the Chair role and we are gral¢ful to..
Ann Shaw for managing the bookings and running the coffee mornings, Pam Turner for her
continued role as secretary, Chris Ferns as treasurer, Mike Manning. Chris Ferns and Guy Cook
for maintenance, Wendy Fabian for keeping the hall clean and all Lommittee members and
oihers for making all the fundraising events possible.
Several groups continue to use the hall on a regular basis, including ki¢k boxing and table tennis,
which provide a steady income. The pop-up-pub remained popular, with a variety of food
offerings once Gluten Free Fish & Chips were no longer available. The coffee morning in
conjunction with the mobile market continued to offer older inhabitants a chance to Shop and
socialise. In August two of our trustees gardens were open informally for villagers and in
December our Christmas lunch was again a very popular evenl. The early part of 2024 saw 2
successful quizzes and a skittles match against our neighbouring parish of Pauntley. A musical
evenin
in April was not well altended, but enjoyed by those who did. Finally Ihe Beacon lil on
June 6 in commemoralion of D-day by kind invitation of Mr & Mrs Atkinson, with musical
accompaniment from the Green family was an enjoyable evening.
The committee would like to thank Ross Stewart for cutting the verge and hedge.
Untortunalely we have still not signed the new lease from Upleadon PCC although outstanding
issues have been resolved. However we trust that we shall be able to proceed shortly and hope
that that will enable us to start our programme of updating and improving the hall.
We hope as many people as possible will continue to support us and would welcome new
Trustees.

Financial Revlew
The financial year ending 30, June 2024 resulted in a surplus (profit) of £2,059.75. The funds
held at ihe year end increased to £20,026.53. This compared to a surplus (profit) last financial
year of £941.70.
Income remained similar to the previous year bul we did see a decrease of expenditure mostly
due to reduce electricity costs and reduced maintcnance costs.
Now that the new lease is nearing completion we plan to raise funds for essential maintenance such &s a
new roof, improved insulation and reTnediation work of damp issues. This will use up a large ¢hunk of
the funds held but will k managed and done on a budget to be approved by the committee.

The hall is run by the trustees who are drawn from inhabitants of the parish. All trustees are
volunteers. Meetings are held on a regular basis. Parishioners are kept inforn)ed ihrough the
parish magazine, web-page and a village e-mail group for those who have signed up to this.
