**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF PEOPLE WITH A PHYSICAL, SENSORY AND/ OR COGNITIVE DISABILITY AND THEIR CARERS WHO ARE AFFECTED BY THEIR DISABILITY WITHIN RIPON AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: A) THE PROVISION OF A FORUM TO DISCUSS, RESPOND TO AND RAISE ISSUES OF INTEREST AND CONCERN TO THE DISABLED COMMUNITY. B) WORKING WITH INDIVIDUALS, LOCAL ORGANISATIONS AND CHARITIES TO PROVIDE ADVICE AND SUPPORT. C) PROMOTING GREATER AWARENESS OF DISABILITY IN NORTH YORKSHIRE

**Activities:** Advocacy for the rights and needs of people with disabilities in our geographical area.Advocating for changes to physical infrastructure and facilities to improve accessibility to the local community and its activities.Representing people with disabilities on wider forums and with the relevant local authorities.
