## **Woolwell In Bloom Annual Report**
## **AGM Held on 17 November 2023**
**First Roborough Cub group held a poppy service on 9/11/22 and they made a hand made wreath. Pete and Gerry were invited to attend.**
**Remembrance services were held on 11th and 13th November with 70 people in attendance.**
**Christmas fair raised £646.50 with various items donated, cakes, crafts and raffle.**
**We gained the legal licence from PCC in the spring for land at the Jubilee Garden. Pete found a contractor to install the multi-purpose path.**
**Jill and Soraya applied to various organisations for funding. We joined POP.**
**We received from Cllr Hopwood £700 from her locality budget.**
**The Aster Trust donated £980 along with a certificate for the help in the community we do.**
**We had a plant and pot sale raising £140. I dig trees donated 50 trees which were planted in our community areas.**
**We helped 1[st] Roborough Beavers with their gardening badge. Soraya gave a talk to Bickleigh garden club. We planted a Coronation tree for Bloom and one for the Inner Wheel Roborough.**
**We built raised beds at the back of the Centre which was our main project for this year’s competition. We also received our first batch of plants from the YMCA.**
**We put up bunting and flags for the Coronation and held our own version of the Kings Big Help Out with over 70 residents taking part.**
**We donated to the Woolwell centre after school club compost pots and sunflowers for their competition. We received our second batch of plants from the YMCA.**
**A plaque was unveiled by the Inner Wheel and placed by their Coronation tree with 22 in attendance.**
**At the school fair we raised £227.80.**
**Judging took place for the RHS Britain in Bloom competition on 12 July.**
**We raised £233.05 at the Centre’s summer fair and shortly afterwards another £284.70 by doing a pot and plant sale.**
**Donations from TWG was £100 and by doing some car boot sales we raised another £344.90. At auction we sold some water colour paintings**
**raising £96.40 and a cheque for £100 from the Lyons Club came in. We also raised £42.50 at the Crazy Craft Chums fair.**
