Activities
Jigsaw is an entirely volunteer run charity that aims to alleviate the suffering of the world's poorest people. As well as responding to disasters and emergencies, it promotes sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities - regardless of race, religion or gender.
Objects: (1) The Prevention Or Relief Of Poverty Anywhere In The World By Providing Grants, Items And Services To Individuals In Need And/or Charities Or Other Organisations Working To Prevent Or Relieve Poverty And All Necessary Support To Enable Individuals To Generate A Sustainable Income And Be Self-Sufficient; (2) The Relief Of Financial Need And Suffering Amongst Victims Of Natural Or Other Kind Of Disasters In The Form Of Money Or Other Means Deemed Suitable For Persons, Bodies, Organisations And / Or Countries Affected, Including The Provision Of Medical Aid, Housing, Counselling And Education. Nothing In This Constitution Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Of The CIO For The Purposes Which Are Not Charitable In Accordance With [Section 7 Of The Charities And Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005] And [Section 2 Of The Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008].
