- **Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

## **Wye Building Preservation Trust 2025 Annual Report**
This year we made considerable progress with the Undercroft project. We had the Undercroft tent at two Farmers markets and were able to sell plenty of merchandise and tombola tickets. We benefitted from generous gift of wines and spirits to attract customers.
The following items were printed -copies of Ptolemy Dean’s watercolours, postcards of the paintings and various photos of the Undercroft, and short and long leaflets about the history of the wine cellar. Copies were sold on the Green and also at Perry Court Farm shop. The latter was particularly helpful as all items were purchased by Heidi Fermor before being sold at the shop. We now should consider reprinting various items and this offers the opportunity to make any alterations to the text.
The profile of the Undercroft was successfully raised during 2025. We had an article in the Parish Magazine including the cover photo and Patrick Kegan gave an interesting talk to the Historical Society focusing on the recent history of the Undercroft site. Wye Heritage has agreed to produce a display for one of their Saturday morning open days. The web sites have also been maintained.
Patrick has made good progress in getting the cellar up to specification for visitors. Lighting has been installed and the electrics for opening and closing the flaps have now been located outside the house to facilitate open days. Public liability insurance to cover visits and also at times when the flaps are closed, has been renewed. Construction of handrails for the steep steps down from the pavement should complete the necessary works.
