We recognise that ple share their stories in different ways, and we provide a variety of activities to (xter different Weferen￿ and interests. Para 1.xl From D￿mber 2020 until March 2021. we ran online exercises for older adults which we called Ubuntu Afro dance exercises. These were needed because older adults were under instructions to ll￿1ate as it was at the Wht of covid-19. Some of them were scared to come out of their house8 arKI some were going through drfferent health issues. These exerctses Y￿re ideal because they could parti¢ipate in the comfort of their houses. There was maximum engagement with this project and pa￿'¢lpants were very ¢ommrtled and attendan￿ was 90%, We started off with 10 women and ended up wtth 25 women. Participants shared that mobility improved through these exerases and some of them said exercises were enabling them to 8ocialise with other people. They exchanged numbers and vRre phoning each other outsÈde the exercises. We were also able to fomi trust bonds with parti¢ipants¢nd they op8ned up and asked for further support. We managed to sign post some of them to manstream service proV￿erS. From March 2021 until December 2021, we ran a food parcels proJect where we were I￿yIng foodsth from African shops and delivering them to beneficiaries. Most of r benefi(aaries come from economically disadvanta9ed communitTres and are unable to buy the groceries they desire. It is drt￿(￿li for them to access culturally approrKiate foodstuffs which they are traditionally used to. We provided an important Servi￿ of making these foodstults availaljle to our beneficiaries. Apart from foodstuffs we managed to engage face to with our beneficiaries and find out more aLx)ul what they required from us as an organisation and how we coutd tailor make our services to their needs. Children were fed healthy meals that had been freshly cooked thereby enabling them to thrive in other areas of their lives. The lasl main Fxoiect carried out was between September 2021 and November 2021. was the cooking of AfrcFinfusion meals. Our beneficiaries said they were not very confKtant on cooking the foodstuffs that we were deliveriNJ to them as food par￿ls. We engaged a thef in African cuisine to teach us how to cook meals of AfrirAn bad(ground. This was carried out on Zoom aTrJ each week we prepared a different dish. We also engaged two older V￿Men to train people on the preparing of these meals. There was good int8r- generational interaction and sharing of knowledge. M the end of the session. we talked about domestic abuse having healthy relationships for the last 10 minutes of the session. Women who started off as bèing quiet and wrthdrawn ended up sharing a lot about their personal experiences. This tmied imparted a skill to 10 women. it also boosted their confidence. We managed to bring awareness to the issue of domestic alxtse and h(Y￿ to access 8UPPOrt. Families were able to have freshly cooked dinners that were healthy and tasty.
