To promote the conservation of farmland bird species, particularly those in decline or at risk of extinction, by working with local communities and landowners, through supplementary feeding, monitoring and habitat restoration and conservation.

Farmland Bird Aid Network receives funds from the general public and small grant bodies local to West Oxfordshire. Our largest donation has been £1679 from Daylesford Organics.

Farmland Bird Aid Network is run by its volunteers. The majority feed the birds on a weekly basis from November to May every year. Some count the birds at the 19 sites on a monthly basis. Others collect the seed and deliver to the sites.

Farmland Bird Aid Network have been able to provide daily feeding during the ‘hungry gap’ for farmland birds at 19 sites across West Oxfordshire with 60 volunteers. Monthly surveys and end of year annual survey. Maintained our website https://farmlandbirdaidnetwork.org/ 

Continued to circulate a monthly newsletter for volunteers and other interested stakeholders. 12 monthly newsletters were produced during the feeding period to 100 contacts. 

Continued to work with the Northeast Cotswolds Farmer Cluster and received free bird feed under their sustainability project. https://www.cotswoldfarmers.org/about
