Objectives and Activities

(1) To promote the arts, culture and heritage for the public benefit in particular by acting as an umbrella body for organisations and individuals in the Bromsgrove District in order to facilitate greater public access to, and increased public participation in, the arts, culture, and heritage. 2. (2) To promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Bromsgrove District the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants.

Para 1.17 and 1.19	The Charity has maintained the same number of this year and has 45 active members. We commissioned a revised and improved website and produced two newsletters in the Autumn and Spring. Trustees have been involved in ReNEW – Rediscover North East Worcestershire project (a part of the Cultural Compact) and two of our members have secured grants towards projects from this.

Para 1.20	BAA has continued to support its members though invitations to quarterly meetings including networking opportunities with other members; providing a range of publicity opportunities including newsletters, and publicity on our website. Small project grants are available to members to facilitate special events although none were made this year. We have raised the maximum award for this to £250 BAA works closely with the newly reopened Arts Centre (Artrix) and has purchased a display stand for the foyer there to promote members’activities.

Financial Review
Review of the charity’s financial position at the end of the period	Para 1.21	At the end of the period the charity had a bank balance of £2854.32 This was a decrease of £167.32 over the period.
