Objectives and Activities

(1) To promote the arts, culture and heritage for the public benefit in particular by acting as an umbrella body for organisations and individuals in the Bromsgrove District in order to facilitate greater public access to, and increased public participation in, the arts, culture, and heritage. 2. (2) To promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Bromsgrove District the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants.

Para 1.17 and 1.19	The Charity has lost two members this year and now has 45 active members. We were pleased to support three activities with small grants: a Creative Arts Showcase day on October, endtertainment for the Christmas Market, and a contribution towards the cost of a special concert celebrating the 50thanniversary of the Housman Society. The future of our local Arts Centre – Artrix – has been high on the agenda this year, BAA has been active on communicating with the Holding Trust and pushing for movement forwards with its reopening. BAA has been involved with the development of the Culturatl Compact via the local Cultural Compact.

		A subgroup of BAA met to coordinate and promote events taking place as part of Heritage Open Day.

Para 1.20	BAA has continued to support its members though invitations to quarterly meetings including networking opportunities with other members; providing a range of publicity opportunities including Spring and Autumn Newsletters, and publicity on our website. Small project grants are available to members to facilitate special events and this year BAA supported the events outlined in the summary of activities.

Financial Review
