The rugby family is 8 tribe. A bond that cannot b6 broken be￿fftn people who genuinely love. trust, care about
8nd look outfor each other. RugbyAgainstC8ncer is here to supportthatfamily. Cancerdoes not discriminate
and can aflect anybody, so we want to be there for those who need it. As a charity. we harness the power of the
njgby communltyto raise funds and awareness to enhance the lives of those living with cancer.
The ch8rity is Tun by a team olvolunteers who have a passion for rugty 8nd have 8ll b86n person811y affected by
cancer in their own lives or by friend8, family & teammates. Eversr)ne offers their time to h8lp grow, manage and
coordinat8 the charity so we can run events and give back tothe community.
Alongslde our dedicated committee. we have an extended family of prol888ional amb8ssadors who p18y or
coach rugby in the UK. each supportingourvision 8nd values. We also havea range ofways thatclubs and
grassroots playBrs can be Involved and have a club partnerand Ioc81 ambassador scheme currently In Its early
stsges.
Throughout the year we host 8 range of rugby match ovents. arKI fundraising challenges Including our treks,
which 8re an ultra trek consisting of walking non-stop tor an 8xcess of 60 m118S.
S88son81 opportuniti88forthe rugbycommunityto raise fundsforthecharityinclude Easter Eggdrops and
Christm8s present drop-offs to various Hospitats and helping spre8d aw8ren8ss across the UK.
Awareness campaigns are a bigthingfor us now and we aim to raise much-needed awarenass on a monthly to
supportvarious cancers and the earlydetection and supportoffered.
Rugby is a g8me about teamwork and support. To go forward. you must go b8ckw8rdsl
Achievements and Performance:
Respite stay at the RAC Shack- Being the proud owners of a luxury holiday home (rhe RAC Shack) at Haven
Flockley Park. Poole on the beautiful Dorset coast, our holiday home is available to those who are currently
affected by cancer and need a well-deserved respite break. The RAC Sh8ck is a p18ce to relax. recharge and
cre8te happy memories with their Lol￿d ones. Stays with us are complot•lyfree thanks to the generosity of our
supportefs and theirdonations.
We have now supported over 18 families at the shack ¥￿th eltherv￿ek orweekend breaks.
Support Kit B8gs- Oursupport Kit 88gs are designed to helpadultsorchildrenwho are undergoingc8ncer
treatment. Each kit bag coritains exclusive items from our charity range including a notebook and pen to note
downthose irnportant appointmentdates ortojotdownyourthoughts. f4us. ¢olouringbooks and EarPods to
keep the benelici8ries entertained duringtreatment.
We entered intothewortd of Elite 7 s in 2023 andwerewnners of 2 Nationalcups and Tunners-up atanother.
We are lookingto emulate that this year ano have now entered both men's and women's squads into the
tournaments.
