Stour Health and Wellbeing Partnership – Annual Report ## Dear Member, It is my pleasure to send you the SHWP Trustee Report in readiness for the AGM on the 21[st] March. As previously notified this will be held at the Shipston Lodge, Armistice Close, Tileman’s Lane, Shipston-on-Stour CV36 4QG at 3.45pm. Please confirm that you will be attending and any Members Motions by Friday 17[th] latest. ## SHWP Trustee’s Report 2022 Last year was the first full year of SHWP’s activities. I am happy to report that the charity achieved all its main objectives for the year. There were two major initiatives undertaken in the year aimed at supporting the health and wellbeing of the Stour community. The first was the Dr Sue Pritchard Memorial Challenge, which provided a range of different activities in a variety of locations. These included seated and standing T’ai Chi, Pilates, Zumba Gold and indoor curling. In all over 250 sessions were held in five different locations. The second initiative was the opening of the Shipston Warm Hub and working with three other hubs in Shipston and seven in nearby villages. These hubs play an invaluable role in strengthening communities. This has been made even more important with the continuing adverse effects of Covid when many community activities ceased. This is a problem which has been exacerbated by the impact of the cost of living crisis. Fostering partnership working is the essence of SHWP’s activities. Strong and meaningful relationships have been established with leading health and wellbeing agencies all of which are supporting the Stour community. There is growing evidence of the benefits to the community from working in partnership. The major challenge facing the SHWP concerns its capacity to meet the increasing demands being made upon it. As the charity continues to grow the employment of a Community Developer will make a significant contribution in meeting this challenge. We are always, however, looking for more volunteers. Fundraising also remains a major and unrelenting challenge and we are grateful to all our funders for their invaluable support. Finally some words of thanks. To all the Trustees for their support throughout the year often in a `hands on ` capacity. To the Work Stream Chairs and volunteers and to you, the Membership. ,Without your support, ideas and encouragement we could not have made so much progress. With this we are confident that we will be able to provide an increasing level of health and wellbeing support to the Stour community.
