The founding trustees of Hope Church Wirral were Dr Alexandra Williams-Woods (Chair), Mr Richard Holmes, Mr Craig Starkey, Dr Alexander Rankin, Mrs Christine Rankin, Mrs Katie Starkey, and Mr Jonathan Brennan as ex officio trustee, by virtue of his employment as Pastor of Hope Church. To relieve persons who are in conditions of need or hardship, or who are aged or sick and to relieve the distress caused thereby in Wirral and wherever else in the world and trustees from time to time think fit.
To promote and fulfil such other charitable objectives, beneficial to the community in Wirral or other parts of the world as the trustees may from time to time think fit.
Report of the chair of trustees for the year ended 31[st] October 2021
Hope Church Wirral CIO was formed by trustees of the charity operating as Hoylake Chapel/Hope Church Wirral with the intention of moving all property and operations into a CIO charity structure, as the CIO structure was decided to be the most transparent and appropriate structure within which the church could operate.
Due to Covid related restrictions and delays, primarily in setting up a new bank account for the CIO it was not possible to move property and operations to Hope Church Wirral CIO during the first year period, although preparation work to do this took place throughout the year. The bank account was opened in November of 2021 after which it was possible to begin moving operations to Hope Church Wirral CIO.
As it was not possible to move operations to Hope Church Wirral CIO from Hoylake Chapel Fellowship trust during the period of the report there were no financial activities to report, and no monetary assets were held at any point by Hope Church Wirral CIO during the period.
