**continued to support the “Shelter For**
**Women and Children In Distress Trust**
**Fund” to fund computer lessons, school**
**materials and everyday essentials for**
**disadvantaged children. We have**
**maintained a great relationship with this**
**Mauritian organisation and have kept in**
**touch to make sure that our donors’**
**contributions are still making a**
**difference.**
**UKMC ceased supporting 4 Tilapat, an**
**organisation it had supported for a year**
**as it was changing into a new project.**
**As per our governance document, the**
**charity chose a new second Mauritian**
**organisation to support. After doing due**
**diligence by looking at the activities and**
**the public accounts of the organisation,**
**UKMC chose We-Recycle, an**
**environmental organisation engaged in**
**increasing awareness about recycling**
**and maintaining a number of recycling**
**points. We-Recycle have been able to**
**use our grants for these activities, for**
**example, awareness drives for school**
**children, donation of recycling bins and**
