Structure, governance and management
The charity is governed by its Constitution. Trustees meet as required to manage the affairs of the charity. No external person or body has the right to appoint trustees. The only material change during the year was the appointment of Rene Nohari on 19 September 2024.
Objectives and activities
The charity’s object is the relief of need of women who are socially or economically disadvantaged by the provision of grants and funding to increase and improve participation in education, training and business entrepreneurship. The charity operates as a grant-making organisation, making unrestricted grants to UK and overseas charities aligned to its objects.
Public benefit
In planning and delivering its activities, the trustees have had due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit.
Safeguarding
The charity does not directly deliver services to beneficiaries. Safeguarding risk is managed through due diligence on recipient charities, including consideration of their safeguarding policies and controls where relevant.
Achievements and performance
During the year the charity made unrestricted grants totalling £6,500 to UK organisations and £36,996 to overseas organisations.
Financial review
Total income for the year was £55,419.68 and total expenditure was £43,556.00, resulting in a surplus of £11,863.68. Unrestricted funds at the year end were £11,983.70, held as cash at bank.
Reserves policy
The trustees had not adopted a formal reserves policy by 31[st] March 2025, but did do so on 20[th] November 2025.
The Trustees have agreed to maintain a minimum reserve of £20,000. This level has been set to:

Future-proof the charity’s ability to support its charitable partners and deliver grants consistently, including in periods when donations may fall or are delayed

Allow the Trustees to commit to future planned charitable projects with confidence, knowing funds are already secured

Protect against volatility in income, ensuring that charitable objectives can still be delivered in a sustained and reliable way
The Trustees consider £20,000 to be a proportionate and reasonable level of reserves for a charity of this nature and purpose..
Plans for future periods
The trustees intend to continue the charity’s grant-making activities in line with its objects.

The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees’ Annual Report and financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/03/2025.
Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examiner's statement come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or

the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
