Lincolnshire Wolds Woodturning Association CIO Annual Report Year Ending 31st December 2025 2025 was another successful year for the Association as it continued with its objects of encouraging interest in woodturning and the training of interested members of the public in the skills of the craft. The number of training days throughout the year have remained at five and could have been increased had resources been available! We are in the process of training some of the more experienced member to take on the task of training. The aim is to encourage them to progress towards obtaining certification as AWGB approved trainers. Our "hands on nights, every month have enabled interested members of the public to get a '*aste" of woodturning before committing to the expenditure involved in stsrting from scratch. Our monthly'workshop nights and professional demonstration remain wpular and enable our international members to participate in the Associations attivities. We now have members in North America, Europe and across the UK. Once again the Association attended the Midlands Wc(Klworking Show at Newark. The Association stand had a steady flow of visitors over the two days. Visitors were able to see turning demonstrations as well a a display of pyrography and decorative techniques. Members work as well as photographs and videos of our activities provided further interest for the visitors. The event generated much interest in the Association and resulted in bookings for the Training Days as well as new members. Members were involved in assisting the fund raising attivities of the friends of St Peter & St Paul's Church Old Bolingbroke. A centuries old Yew tree had to be felled for safety reasons and it was offered to the Association in exchange for some turned items they could sell. It proved to be a huge success and members continue to give their turnings to the church. The Associations finances remain in g(Ml health and once again subscription levels have not bn increased for the year ahead. John Mitchell Treasurer
