The trustees and a wider committee all acting as volunteers oversee the day to day running of the track and facilities. The committee seeks the views of members and other volunteers for activities and improvements to the facilities and participates in the South West Regional BMX Series annually. There is a welfare officer in place who acts as part of the committee and we take guidance from British Cycling as a Club Mark accredited club for our standard child protection and welfare issues. For the purposes of running the club open sessions and maintaining the facility all trustees give their time voluntarily and receive no remuneration or other benefits.

||Our core activity is ensuring the upkeep of the facilities and
organising volunteers for our 3 open sessions per week and liaising
with local coaches to ensure training is made available to all
participants.
In addition to our core activities, we have also arranged –
● Gazebo transportation and set-up for all regional races at
South West tracks and for those competing in national
events.
● Local club race events during winter months to encourage
novice riders to try racing
● Our own Regional Race Event open to experienced and
novice riders
● Improvements to track and associated facilities.|

**during the year**|This year has seen the main focus being the improvement of the
general club facilities with a focus on the main cabin including a
new Kitchen predominantly donated by Howden Kitchens and
fitting of new flooring provided by Market Carpets along with
support from Coastal Recycling in refuse removal.
In addition to this the pump track for less experienced riders has
also seen a full revamp and resurfacing.
For the financial year to 31/10/24 overall turnover was £34,484
which is in line with previous year at £34,646.
Despite turnover being inline the club has progressed in a number
of areas with membership and open track sessions and track hire
being c£4890 up year on year driven by the club seeing an increase
in open session riders from 2201 to 2488 equating to 13% increase
and membership up 17% giving a solid year on year base.
This was offset in other income notably Regional race fees and
jerseys being down £3500 due to members staying and not
investing in shirts and previous year having inflated regional race
income due to late payment.
Overall profit at £1542.48 up on the net loss of £19,483 is expected
following significant investment in hill during 22/23 period and
demonstrates the continued investment in the club and facilities
from monies earned along with the volunteer hours being a key to
the clubs success.|

funds. The main financial risk to the charity is losing the ability to
open for open and training sessions.
A minimum amount of £4,000 is held to cover 3 months operating
costs in the event of a prolonged period of closure or unexpected
maintenance or costs that may occur.
Funds are being saved for track improvements and further facility
improvements as detailed in future plans 24/25 at the end of the
report.|

Along with continuing to deliver our current open and training sessions, regional race and local winter race events our key plans for the year ahead are, we look to invest further in the club in the following areas:-
- Track Improvements including drainage channels, re-surface, GRP grip on starter hill
- Facility Improvements including replaced fencing & spectator steps, waterproofing cabin roofs, finalise kitchen and registration cabin replacement.
- Additional lightweight gazebo and collapsible sack truck.
Aspirational improvement to be assessed during the year funds and volunteer time permitting
- Start hill to be covered.
- 2m start hill in the current sprint area.
