## **Teignmouth Old Cemetery CIO Annual Report Year Ending 31[st] December 2021** 

The CIO was established in order to be able to negotiate a long-term lease, from Teignbridge District Council, on the derelict buildings in the cemetery.  This is a pre-requisite for seeking funding for the renovation work required. 

We were unable to begin negotiations with Teignbridge District Council owing to the continuing impact of the COVID pandemic from 2020 to 2021 and significant staff shortages at the Council. 

Our hope is that the problems at the Council will be resolved in the coming year so that progress can be made.
