Foodbank.** The church continues to support Barrow Foodbank and the satellites in Millom and Ulverston by providing the entire lower ground floor space for a warehouse, offices and client drop in space. In addition, the church hall is used for training, extra Christmas work and we have made it available over the last year for Food Bank Coffee Mornings which offer support and advice to clients. Our minister serves as a Trustee with the Food Bank ## **2. Toddler Groups** We have continued to provide two toddler groups each week, on Mondays and Fridays, offering a warm space for parents/ grandparents/ childminders and the children to play, chat and enjoy social time as well as snacks and tea and coffee. These cater for approximately 80-90adults and 80-100 pre-school children per week. ## **3. Holiday Brunch clubs.** We have continued to offer school holiday brunch clubs for families with children, providing crafts, activities and games for school age children and also a toddler area for the younger ones to play. As well as providing drinks and snacks we also provide a hot lunch for all who attend. As with all our activities, although we accept donations, we make ## **4. Saturday Toddler/ Brunch Club.** - We have continued our monthly Saturday Toddler’s Group and Brunch Club providing activities for older brothers and sisters as well as the toddler area, as per the holiday brunch clubs. It gives families a space and activities at little or no cost, which caters for children of all ages, and provides a hot lunchtime meal for parents and children alike. ## **5. Warm Space and Community Soup Lunch.** Our weekly with Warm Space with a Community Soup Lunch provides a healthy, usually home-made soup for anyone who wishes to attend. There is no charge. Currently, approximately 20-30 people attend - some are people with health or financial issues, others live alone or just enjoy a social time with others. ## **6. “After School Drop in”.** Run in conjunction with Network Youth Church, our weekly “drop in” is aimed mainly at children from Furness Academy. Warm Space with Lunch .** As part of the “Warm Space” initiative, we have recently started a weekly Warm Space offering free tea/ coffee and hot lunch, games and social interaction, working with folk from Trinity Church. This currently attracts up to 20 people weekly, across all ages from toddlers to retired people, who enjoy company and a meal. ## **8. Later Lunches.** Working in conjunction with Age UK, we have hosted a monthly social meeting for older people, offering games, activities, crafts, singing, support and chat as well as a hot meal. This attracts up to 70 people. ## **9. Christmas Lunch** The Church provided on Christmas Day a full Christmas Dinner to nearly 40 people who would have had difficulty providing the meal at home or would otherwise have been on their own. In addition, we delivered Christmas Dinner to a couple of people who were unable to leave their homes at the request of social services. ## **10. Assistance in Disability (A.I.D.)** We provide our hall and garden space for training for assistance in disability dogs and their owners. ## **11. Children’s Parties.** Our hall and kitchen are hired by local families to hold children’s parties in our large space. ## **12. Community Garden.** This project continues to work on turning an area of shrubs into a garden growing space. We have worked with young people and older folk on this project, learning and sharing together to grow vegetables, supporting and being supported by our local community. We have enjoyed using some of the fruit and vegetables in our soups and deserts at our free community meals. ## **13. Community Groups hall use.** A large range of groups use our halls and worship area for a variety of meetings and events. These include Children’s Dance Group, Adult Exercise Group, Photographic Society meetings, Games group, Casualty Union as well as a number of meetings a week for Alcoholics Anonymous and also Narcotics Anonymous. Our hall is also used for rehearsals for some of the Local Amateur Dramatic and Musical Societies and the Voce group who held one of their Christmas concerts here. We have also hosted events for an Indian Culture group. In addition, we provided space for a large fundraising event for the Foodbank provided by the same Indian community. ## **14. Trinity Church** Following the decision to close the Trinity Church Centre across the road, we offered space for the Trinity Church congregation to hold their services and also events such as Coffee Mornings and their free Film Night.
