The Charity was formed on the 30[th] of October 2020. The Charity is governed by a Constitution. The Charity is constituted as Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).
The Charitable purposes of charity are:

a. To advance the Muslim religion in Leeds and in such other parts of the United Kingdom for the benefit of the public through the holding of prayer meetings, lectures, public celebration of religious festivals, producing and/or distributing literature on Islamic faith to enlighten others about the Muslim religion by all means consistent with the teachings of the Qu’ran and Ahadeeth as interpreted by the Sunni Hanafi Deobandi school of thought.

b. For the public benefit to promote the education, including social and physical training of people in such ways as the charity trustees think fit, including by awarding to such persons scholarships, maintenance allowances or grants tenable at any university, college or institution of higher or further education.

c. To provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life.

End of Year Charity Return Statement
The three trustees have remained committed to building a strong foundation from which the charity can grow and begin serving the community.
Progress has been slower than anticipated. Attracting volunteers with the specialist skills needed to launch our education services has proven difficult, and this has delayed our operational readiness. The current economic climate, rising living costs, and a competitive funding environment have added further complexity.
Despite these challenges, the trustees are actively exploring a range of pathways to move the charity forward. This includes engaging with local partners, identifying community collaboration opportunities, and continuing to assess the best approach to delivering on our mission of providing quality education and learning to the community.
Recruiting additional trustees with diverse skills and relevant experience remains a priority. We are confident that with the right team in place and continued community support, Darul Yasin will be well positioned to deliver the services that inspired its formation.
