The following individuals were the  charity trustees on the date the report was approved and served as charity trustees during the year.

The Charity was formed on the 30[th] of October 2020. 

The Charity  is governed by a  Constitution. 

The Charity is constituted as Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). 

## **The Charitable purposes of charity are:** 

- a. To advance the Muslim religion in Leeds and in such other parts of the United Kingdom for the benefit of the public through the holding of prayer meetings, lectures, public celebration of religious festivals, producing and/or distributing literature on Islamic faith to enlighten others about the Muslim religion by all means consistent with the teachings of the Qu’ran and Ahadeeth as interpreted by the Sunni Hanafi Deobandi school of thought. 

- b. For the public benefit to promote the education, including social and physical training of people in such ways as the charity trustees think fit, including by awarding to such persons scholarships, maintenance allowances or grants tenable at any university, college or institution of higher or further education. 

- c. To provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life.

## **The main achievements of the charity in the year were:** 

The Charity has faced significant challenges due to the high cost of living, escalating heating and lighting expenses, and the burden of rent and running costs. Recruiting volunteers with the required skill set has proven to be a difficult task. However, the trustees are actively engaging with the community to develop alternative options for full operational capability. Sustaining the charity once operational is a top priority. The commitment to finding solutions, securing financial stability, and involving the community remains unwavering. Together with dedicated supporters, volunteers, and community members, the Charity strives to overcome these obstacles and continue making a positive impact. 

The trustees have read the Commission’s Public Benefit requirement statutory guidance, and have had regard to this when running the charity.
