## **Amelias Rainbow Trustees’ Annual Report 2024–2025**
The Trustees of Amelia’s Rainbow Charity are pleased to present the Annual Report for the year 2024–2025. This year has been one of significant growth, hear�elt achievements, and strengthened community connec�ons. Our mission to create memories and provide support for children with life-limi�ng or terminal condi�ons has con�nued to deepen, thanks to the generosity and dedica�on of our supporters, volunteers, and partners.
## **Key Achievements**
## **Opening of Amelia’s Haven – Wheelchair Adapted Holiday Home**
_Amelia’s Haven_ in April 2024. This fully wheelchair-adapted holiday home was designed to offer families a safe, comfortable, and accessible space to relax and make precious memories together.
original property, _Amelia’s Retreat_ , welcomed 27 stays. In total, 52 families benefited from these much-needed breaks.
## **Special Projects & Family Support**
- **Child’s Bucket List Journey** – We were honoured to support a child complete his bucket list, including a magical trip to _Euro Disney_ . This unforge�able experience was only possible thanks to the generosity of our supporters.
- **Young persons 21st Birthday Gi�** – To mark this young persons milestone birthday, we arranged a special trip for him and his family to the _Calvert Trust_ . This incredible facility provides wheelchair-adapted ac�vi�es, including an abseiling wall, enabling families to enjoy adventurous experiences together.
- **Toy Appeal 2024** – Our annual Toy Appeal reached over 230 children across Dorset, delivering joy, comfort, and fes�ve cheer during the holiday season.
## **Income & Fundraising**

- We were deeply grateful to receive £15,000 from the will of a local gentleman. This generous, unrestricted gi� has directly supported our ongoing work with families.
- Their con�nued commitment has made a las�ng impact on our charity.
- We con�nued strong partnerships with several valued local organisa�ons, including Na�onwide, the Insurance Ins�tute of Bournemouth, and Du�on Gregory.
- culmina�ng in an £8,000 dona�on from their annual Golf Day, followed by an addi�onal £500 Christmas dona�on.
## **Events & Community Engagement**
Throughout the year, we proudly hosted and par�cipated in a wide range of events that brought our community together and raised vital funds. Highlights included:
- Charity quizzes
- Concerts and live performances
- Sponsored runs
- A thrilling Superhero Abseil event, which saw supporters scaling down walls in costume—all in the name of fun and fundraising!
These events not only generated essen�al income but also raised awareness of our mission, strengthening our community connec�ons.
## **Looking Ahead**
immensely proud of what Amelia’s Rainbow has achieved. Our focus for the coming year includes:
