It operates under CIO – FOUNDATION document, which established the objects and powers of the charity. Recruitment and Appointment of Trustee Committee The Trustees of the Charity are appointed in accordance with guidelines set out in the governing document of the CIO. ## **Trustee Induction and Training** Most trustees are already familiar with the practical work of the Charity. New trustees are invited and encouraged to attend a series of short training sessions to familiarise themselves with the charity and the context within which it operates. The Chair of the Trustee Committee and Administrative Manager leads and cover the following areas: The obligations of Management Team members. - Review and update the main documents which set out the operational framework for the charity including the governing document. - Resourcing and the current financial position as set out in the latest published accounts - Future plans and objectives. ## _**Risk Management**_ The Management Team has conducted a review of the major risks to which the charity is exposed to. Where appropriate, systems or procedures have been established to mitigate the risks the charity faces. External risks to funding are not deemed to be significant. Internal control risks are minimised by the implementation of procedures for authorisation of all transactions and projects. ## **Objectives and Activities** The company's objects and principal activities are: - To seek the advancement of the Christian Faith - To provide care, help and relief to any person wherever suffering, irrespective of age generally, denomination or creed, from poverty, unemployment or sickness - To offer community support and help develop the social life of people who may need such help. ## **Achievements and Performance** Elim City International has been providing support services to Londoners and beyond since the beginning of the year 2020. Our main areas of work have been providing spiritual, emotional and psychological development to our members and interested parties of the general public. This comes in the package of talks, seminars, classes, counseling and church meetings, ## **Trustee Committee Report** The organisation, Elim City International was involved in a One Day Conference during the 2024 Easter weekend. It was a great time of celebration with about 50 people in attendance. There was a New Year's Eve service to welcome the new year with prayers of thanksgiving, music, singing and dancing. Then Pastor Simeon Yamoah-Owusu delivered a message of encouragement for the new; 2025. “Small Group” meetings were continued in order to strengthen regular meetings throughout the year and ensuring regular attenders of meetings were all incorporated in the fellowship. **ELIM CITY INTERNATIONAL** ## **Report of the Trustee Committee for the year ended 31st December 2024** There was an annual Fasting & Prayer period which brought people together to offer prayers on various subjects including prayers for this nation and leaders, and other international affairs. There were weekly programmes and monthly celebrations of birthdays and anniversaries throughout the year in church on Sundays. Children activities were also held throughout the year in church. The year 2024 was a good year for us. To God be the glory. ## **Financial Review** ## _**Principal Funding Sources**_ The principal funding source for the charity is currently by way of voluntary donations from the public. ## _**Investment Policy**_ As most of the charity's funds are to be spent in the short term, there are very few funds available for longterm investment. The Trustees and Management Team has decided that bank accounts are sufficient for the present. ## _**Reserves Policy**_ The Trustees and Management Team has examined the charity's requirements for reserves in light of the main risks to the organisation. Working capital is not significant and it is not deemed necessary to hold any funds in reserves. ## **Income and Expenditure** The income and expenditure account from January 2024 to December 2024 has not been included in this report as it is below the reporting threshold. ## **Plans for Future Period** A repetition of the number of the programmes in 2024 is anticipated in 2025 since most of them have become a regular event people look up to. More of such meetings may help to equip our young members and the general public who are interested in the knowledge and awareness of a successful marriage, better life skill, good parenting and the like. We aim at helping people to be responsible for their future, family life, spiritual development and to also learn to contribute to society through voluntary works and a good conscience towards those who are underprivileged.
