withthefinancialstatementsofthecharityfortheyearended31March2025.Thetrusteeshaveadopted the
provisionsofAccountingandReportingbyCharities:StatementofRecommendedPracticeapplicableto charities
preparingtheiraccountsinaccordancewiththeFinancialReportingStandardapplicableintheUKandRepublic of
Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019).
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objectives and aims
The Charitywas establishedby Trust Deed in 1805.The objectivefor which the Charitywas establishedis the relieving
ofneed,hardshipordistressoftheresidentsoftheparishofPoringland,Norfolk.InMay1996theobjectives were
widenedwithCharityCommissionapprovaltoencompasstheapplicationof fundsnotrequiredfortheabovefor the
general benefit of the residents of the parish.
On1December2020thefundsoftheoriginalcharity(CharityNumber246265)weretransferredtothis charitable
company. The charitable company's objects are now defined as:
For the benefit of those living in the parish of Poringland by the provision of grants to further the following purposes:-
- the relief of poverty, in particular by the provision of winter fuel payments to those in need
-suchcharitablepurposesforthepublicbenefitasareexclusivelycharitableaccordingtothelawsofEngland and
Wales as the trustees may from time to time determine.
Significant activities and public benefit
Income will be distributedto those living in the parish of Poringlandwho are in need through hardship or distress. This
will include:-
- winter fuel payments to those in need
- social grants to those in hardship or distress
- grants to students to support the cost of their further educational needs
- grants to communityorganisationsfor projects which provide sports, leisure, educationalor related facilities primarily
benefitting Poringland residents.
Financial review
The Statement of FinancialActivities covering the period from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025 is set out on page four. A
£7,310unrealisedlossoninvestmentshasbeenchargedtotheCapitalFund.TheTrusteesareconfident that
investmentsshould,inthelongterm,yieldbothasatisfactorylevelofincomeandcapitalappreciation.The Capital
Fund is retained to generate income into the future in order to fulfil the objectives of the Charity. During the period the
Charityreceivedinvestmentincomeamountingto £33,190andexpended£22,813on grantsto individualsand grants
of£2,750totootherbodies.Charitablesupportcostsamountedto£7,247.Thisresultedinnetincoming resources
intotheGeneralFundof£381.Thereforetotaloutgoingresourcestotalled£6,929and,consequently,at31 March
2025, total funds stood at £696,018. Of this, £23,093 is held in the unrestricted general fund.
Property and investments
The Charityretains12.818acres of grazingland which has been includedat marketvalue of £50,000and a residential
propertyincludedat valuationof £200,000.At 31 March2025 the Charityheld cash reserves of £30,897. Investments
with Fidelity Managementhad a market value at 31 March 2025 of £415,615,experiencingan unrealisedloss of £7,310
over the value at 1 April 2024.

Organisational structure
The Trust Deed stipulatesthat there shall be not fewer than three directors.All directorsmust contributeto the day to

Independent examiner's report to the trustees of Poringland Fuel Allotment ('the Company')
I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Company for the year ended 31 March 2025.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity'strusteesof the Company(andalsoits directorsfor the purposesof companylaw)youare responsible
for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 ('the 2006 Act').
Having satisfied myself that the accountsof the Company are not required to be audited under Part 16 of the 2006 Act
andareeligibleforindependentexamination,Ireportinrespectofmyexaminationofyourcharity'saccounts as
carried out under Section 145 of the Charities Act 2011 ('the 2011 Act'). In carrying out my examinationI have followed
the Directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 145(5) (b) of the 2011 Act.
Independent examiner's statement
Ihavecompletedmyexamination.Iconfirmthatnomattershavecometomyattentioninconnectionwith the
examination giving me cause to believe:
1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Company as required by Section 386 of the 2006 Act; or
2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or
3. the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of Section 396 of the 2006 Act other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination; or
4. the accounts have not been prepared in accordance with the methods and principles of the Statement of Recommended Practice for accounting and reporting by charities (applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)).
Ihavenoconcernsandhavecomeacrossnoothermattersinconnectionwiththeexaminationtowhich attention
should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Basis of preparing the financial statements
The financialstatementsof the charitablecompany,whichis a publicbenefitentityunderFRS 102,have been
prepared in accordancewith the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 'Accountingand Reportingby Charities:Statement of
RecommendedPracticeapplicabletocharitiespreparingtheiraccountsinaccordancewiththe Financial
ReportingStandardapplicablein the UK and Republicof Ireland(FRS 102) (effective1 January2019)', Financial
ReportingStandard102 'The FinancialReportingStandardapplicablein the UK and Republicof Ireland'and the
CompaniesAct2006.Thefinancialstatementshavebeenpreparedunderthehistoricalcostconvention, with
theexceptionofinvestmentswhichareincludedatmarketvalue,asmodifiedbytherevaluationof certain
assets.
Income
All income is recognised in the Statementof FinancialActivitiesonce the charityhas entitlementto the funds, it
is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably.
Expenditure
Liabilitiesarerecognisedasexpenditureassoonasthereisalegalorconstructiveobligationcommitting the
charitytothatexpenditure,itisprobablethatatransferofeconomicbenefitswillberequiredin settlement
andtheamountoftheobligationcanbemeasuredreliably.Expenditureisaccountedforonanaccruals basis
andhasbeenclassifiedunderheadingsthataggregateallcostrelatedto thecategory.Wherecostscannot be
directlyattributedtoparticularheadingstheyhavebeenallocatedtoactivitiesonabasisconsistentwith the
use of resources.
Grants offered subject to conditionswhich have not been met at the year end date are noted as a commitment
but not accrued as expenditure.
Investment property
Investmentpropertyis shown at most recent valuation.Any aggregate surplus or deficit arising from changes in
fair value is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities.
Taxation
The charity is exempt from corporation tax on its charitable activities.
Fund accounting
Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees.
Restrictedfundscanonlybeusedforparticularrestrictedpurposeswithintheobjectsofthe charity.
Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted purposes.
