## Activities

**Objects:** 1. TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE NEED, BY REASON OF YOUTH, AGE, DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR OTHER DISADVANTAGE BY PROVIDING: GRANTS, ITEMS AND SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AND/OR CHARITIES OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO SIMILAR PRINCIPLES AND PURPOSES. 2. TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, RELIEVING THE NEEDS OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES. FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE, ‘SOCIALLY EXCLUDED’ MEANS BEING EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PARTS OF SOCIETY, AS A RESULT OF ONE OF MORE OF THE FOLLOWING FACTORS: FINANCIAL HARDSHIP; YOUTH OR OLD AGE; ILL HEALTH (PHYSICAL OR MENTAL); DISABILITY; OR INABILITY TO SPEAK OR UNDERSTAND ENGLISH. 3. TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE THE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE PROMOTION OF WASTE REDUCTION AND THE USE OF SURPLUS FOOD.

**Activities:** We promote social inclusion in our community by running a Coffee Shop, English Language and Lip Reading classes. Our Telephone Befriending Service is part of the Anna Chaplaincy which offers Christian spiritual support to those over 65 on request.
