charity is constltuted as a Charltable Incorporated Organlsatlon and the 8overnln8

In appolntlng the first Trustees the oblectlve was to recrult a group of people wlth skllls,
knowled8e and experience for the effective administratlon of the Charliy both to oversee
the governance and management of the Charlty but also to ensure the welfare of the horses
and ponles used In the charlty's work.
Before appolntment each Trustee read and slgned CFEC Safeguardlng Pollcy and In Ilne wlth
that policy has undertaken safe8uardin8 trainln8 as part of their induction. Trustees are
requlred to undertake a DBS check, and thi5 check and safe8uardln8 tralnln8 must be
renewed regulailv.
Objectives and Activities
The oblertlve of CFEC Is to promote soclal Incluslon for the public benefit by preventlng
people from becornln8 socially emcluijed. wellevlng the need5 of those people who are

those supportin8 such people.
The maln actlvlty Is Restart. Ouf flaRsl)Ip, evidence based equlne assisted

professionals In menial health. soclal work or education, The course Is dellvered
I., I by a tiained facilltator for 2 hours a day over 5 consecutive days, Reslart
partlclpanls and thelr key workers recelve detailed feedback at the end of the
course. hand hack and fnllow-iip. In addltion to Restart CFEC wlll also offer Llghte.r
Touch oplions such as lop ups, lallored session5 aiid 8roup wol k dilfereiil woys
to help people at a lower level of need to provide lon8er term support after a
Restart course.

Achievements and Performance
Durln8 the year, the charlty has contlnued to dellver hl8h-quallty equine-assisted
iiitei veiitioiis tliat Iiove iiiade a iiiea5Lirable diffpfeiice to the lives of our participaiit5. Our
programme ha5 focused on supportlng chlldren, young people and adults experlenclng
social, emotional and mental health challen8es, uslng the unique connectlon between
humans and horses to build coiifidence, resillence and wellbeiiig.
Pro8r3mme Dellvery: A total of 18 Restart interventions were dellvered In 2024 to
partlcipanls. an Increase on the prevlous year. We have also dellvered 'Follow up,
sesslons to these participants alonR wlth 'LiRhter Touch. sesslons for those wlth
morc complcx mcntal health Issues or extreme anxletv.
Measured Impact: Evaluatlon results show that paTtlcipants reported 8reater
confldence, Improved emotlonal regulatlon and enhanced communlcatlon and soclal
Partnershlp Growth: We establlshed new referral pathways wlth schools,
healthcare providers and community or8anisations. expandlng access to our
pro8rammes,
The Charitle5 Trustees are satlsfied wlth the charlty's performance In the year. Demand for
services has 8rown steadlly and outcomes evidence demon5tf ates that our Iiiterventions
conrinue to Oeliver si8nificant beneiits to participants. I he charity nas remained financially
Stable.
In the year ahead. the charity will foc(Is on securln8 fundln8 that enables us io build on oui
¢ichievernentS, Strerigtheii evi(len(-v.b(15vd pr¢lrnil-e, wiilvn oiii reacli and provide lite-
chaiigin8 equine interventlons to more people In need.
Financial Review
In the twelve months lo 31 December 2024 we raised £59,46012023 E25,6421.
The majorlty of our fundlng comes from grants. Th15 year we ralsed E55.300 from 6 lunders,
Thls equates to 93% of our income. The table below shows our funders for 2fi24.

At the end of the financlal year we held reserves of £40.203. Thls was above our target of
l)oldi118 equivalent to 6 Resiart courses in reserve: this was due to the tlming of a large
Brant of £15,000 being recelved very shortly before the flnanclal year-end.
