## **Achievements and Performance**

Para 1.20|We provided affordable resources to over
100 local schools, nurseries and community
groups, as well as over 500 families and 67
local groups.
We continue to attract valuable suppliers,
such as Bristol’s Cameron Balloons and
Ikea Bristol, which have proved immensely
popular with members. Also other suppliers
in North Somerset have proven popular,
such as Click Spare. We attend multiswaps,
representing the county of North Somerset
and swap with Scrapstores across the UK,
ensuring varied stock and enabling reuse of
more resources.
Community Scrapstore North Somerset has
continued to supply local creative
organisations, such as From the Mud
Theatre Group, Weston Artspace and
Super Culture and has also hosted creative
workshops in its building. We support local
schools and youth groups and other local
organisations, including carnival club.
We’ve been holding more events in store.
We started to open one evening a week,
during the period, which proved helpful for
schools.|

## **Financial Review**

**£28 to £3,602.**
**Unfortunately, the charity was**
**unsuccessful in securing its regular**
**annual grant income in January 2025.**
**However, a grant was received in July**
**2025.**
**In order to manage cashflow in the**
**interim, the charity’s landlord allowed**
**the charity to offset its lease deposit**
**against rent due. In addition, rent and**
**service charges are no longer paid in**
**advance. The amount of outstanding**
**rent and service charges at the year-end**
**was £4,097. This has been settled after**
**the year end.**|

## **Independent examiners report to the Trustees of Community Scrapstore North Somerset**
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts for Community Scrapstore North Somerset (“the charity”) for the year ended 30 June 2025.
## **Responsibilities and basis of report**
As the charity trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the 2011 Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act.
## **Independent examiner’s statement**
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:
1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the 2011 Act; or 2. the accounts do not comply with these records
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
