venue. The averd8e participaiion is 5ixi¢en people ￿Tth demeniia and their carer. There is no ¢haTge to the participants. The
sessions are ea¢h led b) two professional musicians with e_ipertis¢ in workin8 wilh people who have dementia.

1.1 Accountlng Conventlon
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Charity's deed,
the Charities Act 2011 and" Accounting and ReportinE by Charities- Statement of
Recommended Practice applicable to charilies preparing their accounts in
accor(Jance with the Financial Reporting siandard applicable in the UK and
Republic ol Ireland IFRS 1021" las amended lor accounting periods commencing
from I january 20161. The Charity is a Public Benetit Entity as definett bt FRS 102.
The charity has taken advantage of the provisions in the SORP lor Charities applying
FRS 102 Upoate Bulletin I not to prpeare a Statement of Cash Flows.
The finacial statements have departed trom the Charities (Accounts and Reportsl
ReEuialion5 2008 only to the extent iequired io provide a true and fairview. This
ijeparture has involved following the Statement of Recommended Practice for
Charities applying FRS 102 rather than the version of the Statement ol Recommen(Jed
Practice which is relerred to in the Regulations but which ha5 since been withdrawn.
The finacial staternents are prepared in sterlin. which is the functional currency of
the Charity. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost
convention. The principal accounting policies a(Jopte(J are set out below.
1.2 Golngconeern
At the time of appfovingthe financial statements. the trustees have a reasonable
expectation thal the Charity has adequate resources io continue in operational
existence for the forseeable future. Thus the trustees continue to adoptthe going
oncern basis ol accounting in preparingthe linancial statements.
1.3 Charitable Funds
Unrestricted funds are available lor use at the discretion ol the trustees in
furtherance ol their charitable objectives. Restricied funds are available for use In
accordance with the terms ol the specific grant received.
1.4 Income
Income is recoEni5ed when the charity is legallyeniitled to it after any performance
conditions have been met, the amounts can be measured reliably and it is
probable that income will be received.
Cash donations 3re recognised on receipt. Other donations are recognised once
the charity has been notified of the donation. unless perlormance Conditions
require deferral of the amouni. Income tax recoverable in relation to donations
received under Gift Aid or dees of covenant is recognised when ￿Ceived.
