MATCH is now a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), and an AGM was held on the 25 March 202, with only 5 trustees and 3 members of the public. There has been very little activity in the village since lockdown was lifted apart from a Jubilee celebration and the refurbishment of the Sports club which reflects in MATCH activities.
However, MATCH has continued to support local charities: -

Sponsorship of the village bulletin,

Donation to Milton Abbas Surgery to enable the purchase of a Pain Syringe pump,

Grit bins donation (sub account now closed)

Donation to the History Group, towards the purchase of Milton Abbas Pendant to be displayed in the Dorchester museum.

Donation to Milton Abbas Sports club to help with the refurbishment of the club and setting up a sports café (which would produce funds for the club). This was a large donation of £16500, which was the ring-fenced monies for the establishment of a village hall. After trying for several years to find a suitable place for the hall and being refused planning permission every time the trustees felt that this would never happen and therefore the monies would be better spent on a project which would benefit the villages and was as close as possible to a hall. The new sports club café reflects this. This was put to a vote to all registered members of MATCH and the trustees, and passed with one against.
The Computer café and Lunch club are functioning well ably run by Jenneifer Harrisson.
Members have been asked to let the trustees know how we could help them and what they required from MATCH. and MATCH are trying to encourage younger people to join as it is felt that they could bring fresh ideas and enhance the way forward for MATCH.

Brian Isherwood (taking over as Chairman) and Edward Watts (treasurer) were voted back in. Also, we have a new trustee Richard Saunders which give MATCH the ability to carry on as we still have a quorum.
